Room to grow but already a great concept

Hi everybody,

I submitted a 1-taco-review for this software some days ago. The developer took my review and elimiated my biggest concern, so my old review was obsolete. Here is my new one ant it is "nearly" 5 tacos. ;)

I would not call SquidHub a Saas for "Project Planning" but much more a tool for "internal communication". It´s completely focussed on communication in a team. Even better: In different groups. It has some tools for tasks which is very usefull but not the same as a full "project-planning-tool". But this is the great thing.

I have Plution, I have Ora, I have Freedcamp and I have project.co and I am sure I have some other tools also, but most of them lack in the communication. Plutio has way too much communication so the communication is getting messy. Ora has no real communication (yet) and so on. Having a tool like SquidHub which is totally focussed on communication is great.

My goal with SquidHub is different then with a project-tool: I do seminars and I want to create a group for every seminar I do. Then I invite all participants of the seminar into that group and so I have the perfect tool to keep al the organisation of seminars togehter. Bonus: Free Users can join up to two groups, so I only need to upgrade an account if a participants is doing more then two seminars with me.

Users / Participants can plan theire own goals in the groups and use it, connect with the Google-Calender and so on. And I can keep all communication togehter. Squidhub is not perfect ... but it´s the ONLIEST tool with the focus so clear on communication that I know. And that makes it great.

If this tool grows for another two years it could get into the major team-communication-plantform and because of that I want to save my LTD-Codes as long as it is affordable. ;)

Shortly here the "Con"s that prevented me from giving 5 tacos:

- The calender connects only to "one" google-calendar and I can´t even choose to which one. It just connects to the first calendar in my google-account.

- There is no "invite-link" for the groups. I have to manually put the eMail of the person I like to invite into a window and wait for the person to confirm. A simple invite-link (or maybe a QR-Code) would be very usefull.

- Zapier (and other integrations) are not ready. Zapier is on the way, but I guess the integrations will stay very limited.

- The Mobile-App is very small in the moment. Phone- and Video-Calls are not working yet, Inviting people through the app is buggy (not working).

All in all it was just a little bit too much of those small issues, but all in all I am optimistic that the software will develop into a "5-taco-product".

All the best, Julian!
