Q: I'm presently using RankMath, mostly for doing redirects.
I have a lot of them.
My Question:
Can I keep using RM plugin for doing redirects while using the Squirrly plugin for the other tasks that it provides?
Thank you. Standing by.

Jun 27, 2024A: Hey, Fillip! Thank you for your question.
Yes, you can use Squirrly SEO alongside RankMath if you want to, as Squirrly enables you to deactivate certain settings or modules so that Squirrly SEO and RankMath can work in compatibility mode.
If Squirrly stops handling source code changes, then it works with RankMath, and others.
more about this here: https://howto12.squirrly.co/ht_kb/use-squirrly-in-compatibility-mode-with-other-seo-plugins/
I found some VDOs on your YT site explaining that Squirrly works OK with RankMath.
However, I'm confused about how you would do 'redirects' with Squirrly. Your website doesn't offer any knowledge base. It talks about SEO links.
That's not the same.
I'm talking about a previously published post that now has a 'new' slug and needs to have the old previous published post 'redirected' to the new post with the new slug.
I can't find any good walk-thru's or instructions on your website. So for now I'll stay with RM for redirections. Please provide a more detailed knowledge base on creating 'redirects' with Squirrly...along with making a nicer redirect dashboard where all the redirects can be found. Thank you.
Regarding your second question. Here is what Squirrly SEO currently offers for redirection:
- automatic redirects (at URL change)
- redirecting 404s
- redirects in Bulk SEO Settings for each page
- attachment page redirects options
More about these features can be seen here:
- https://howto12.squirrly.co/kb/bulk-seo/#301_redirect
- https://howto12.squirrly.co/kb/seo-links/#redirect_attachments
- https://howto12.squirrly.co/faq/how-does-squirrly-handle-broken-links/
But Squirrly does not yet have a panel where you can see an overview of all redirects.
However, we did add a 301 redirect dashboard to our Roadmap:

Thank you so much for your feedback regarding the knowledge base and the redirect dashboard. I can see how a having a single, dedicated resource that covers in more detail how Squirrly helps with creating redirects would be useful. :)
Thank you for your reply and link. Much appreciated.
A few more questions:
1️⃣ Is there some kind of 'redirection" dashboard that lists all the redirections?
I understand Squirrly will not import my RankMath Redirections, I would eventually like to have Squirrly do all the redirections if it has a nice dashboard listing the redirects.
2️⃣ Does Squirrly (Sq) have "404 Monitor"?
Records the URLs on which visitorys & search engines run into 404. IMPORTANT: I can turn on Redirections to redirect the error causing URLs to other URLs
3️⃣ Does Sq have a "Link Counter"?
Counts the total number of links, external links, to and from links inside my posts. I can also see the same count in the Posts List Page in Wordpress.
4️⃣ Does Sq have "Instant Indexing"?
Directly notify search engines like Bing & Yandex using some kind of API key when pages/posts are added, updated and removed, or submit URLs manually.
Thank you for your time and patience in answering. I also continue to explore the Knowledge base. I need to make a decision on this before June 3rd 8pm CST...😉
Hi Irina,
Oki-doki, Thank you for clarifying the question about a "redirection dashboard".
2️⃣ 404 Monitor: Couldn't find anything in the Knowledge base...no problem.
3️⃣ Link Counter: No counter inside my posts.... no biggie.
4️⃣ Instant Indexing: Yes, Bing, Yandex and MORE! ٩(^ᴗ^)۶
Conclusion:
For my SEO needs I believe that Squirrly and RankMath (RM) are a match in SEO Heaven. LOL!
Thanks again for your help.
I know it's not recommended to have two SEO plugins, but it looks like Squirrly will blend in with RM. Anyhow, I have 60-days to see how it goes.
Thank you so much for taking the time to explore more of our Knowledge Base ;)
2. In order to avoid 404 Page Not Found, you can use the SEO Automation feature from Squirrly and switch on "Redirect Broken URLs. "
For 404 Post Types, Squirrly also offers the option to configure a Default Redirect URL to redirect the broken URLs when no valid permalink is found.

3. You can see information regarding the number of backlinks and Inner Links you have for every page you have set as a Focus Page.

4. Yes, we do have an option to Ping New Posts to Search Engines; this means Google and Bing get notified whenever you publish a new post so that they know there is new content to crawl and index.
