Squirrly Pro is a new experience for me. I used to use Yoast, then SEO Press (I've tried RankMath as well), all of those three are pretty similar in the way they work. Using Squirrly is like a combination of an SEO assistant and some gamification features with Ahrefs-lite thrown into the mix!

Squirrly does have a learning curve, but it comes with an in-depth onboarding experience. I've only used "Expert mode" so far though-- so the easy mode is probably more appropriate for those who are new to SEO.

The thing I like the most is all different tools that's included. Daily SEO goals (that's the gamification part), focus pages, a very good keyword research, and finally a good audit tool are just some of them!

I work as a web developer / SEO consultant so I'm used to working with various SEO tools. Sometimes, my clients ask me which tool is the best one and I have no idea how they could ever decide on that! Nevertheless, Ahrefs has been an indispensable part of my day-to-day workflow for years now because it's got all the information you need - whether tracking keywords or rankings data.

When it comes to keyword research, the industry leader is considered by many to be Ahrefs. That's why I compared Squirrly Pro against Ahrefs and guess what? It was more or less just as good! Amazing!!

I think the interface and design of this plugin are good, although it's not so "Wordpress-like." Lots of colors that feel very different than a regular Wordpress plugin.

So my verdict:
It's without a doubt an awesome SEO plugin! The best I've tried!
