Might be great - not for German
In a way, I must be the exact target group of this product: 1 man Consulting show trying to do everything himself and keeping the expenses low. Yeast has been sitting in my WP plugins for ages, and I might have spend about 30 minutes with it in the last 10 years! I know I need SEO, and I am interesting in learning it.
The good news: Squirrly is fascinating me. In the last week I spend more time on SEO than in the 10 years before. I rethought positioning, started researching keyword and labeling them in the Briefcase. I also opened another account for the education (Netflix like) channel and I am sure will look through it in the summer.
For me the often mentioned suboptimal UI is not such a big problem as described in many of the feedbacks here. Call me old fashioned, but I do expect to have to put some work into it before understanding the logic. And logic it has, at least from what I understand so far.
My biggest gripe, and reason why I only give 3 Tacos (subject to revision and improvement) is that the keyword tool seems useless in German. I tried with a few main keywords, like "Verhandlungsbuch", but also with combinations, like "Verhandlungsbuch Strategien leicht erklärt" etc. Heck, when I am searching for "Training Verhandlung Verkauf", I get as suggestion to look for "training verkauf präsentation 2021" and with a deep search about 7 useless findings alike "gustav kaeser training international italia", and 1 time my search exactly", plus 1 time my search including "2021". Really? 9 useless findings?
Contacted support, and received an answer, but it was not helpful. I tried with different words, and for German I have to say: Forget it.
I also didn´t get around to finding out what the "Business SERP checker & Google rank" really is about - do I need it? Otherwise I´d certainly refund my second tier, and will play around a little more before deciding on the first one.
All in all, you probably can´t go too wrong with having Squirrly there. The founder seems cool, and who knows, maybe I will finally get around to doing SEO in the next ten year, haha ;)
