Q: Hi, I am not too clear on what restrictions or open-ness the API connections have.

Are we going to live forever with only the few native integrations for APIs you will choose? Or we can hope for something like say what mautic provides via OAuth2.0 that we can connect mautic pretty much with anything else.

To have zapier is a nice hi-fi feeling. But for the volumes of data a 50000 rows table and if one goes to have a 5 code stack will churn through zapier will cost me a bomb per month making the outlay for the 5 code stack miniscule in comparison.

One is wondering what are the difficulties in providing some open sort of api connectivity where one can pretty much connect APIs from any subscriptions or sources one has the way mautic allows this. Knowing what is constraining you from providing a wider open array of API connections that any LTD or MRR client of yours can choose as per his needs or value perception would help me decide either ways. In any case the more open and wider connectivities your platform provides it would widen your own sales canvas bringing you more and more customers. So I will wait to know your thoughts on this.

This challenge is fairly similar in nature to the challenge LTD promoters face of please provide integration with this autoresponder or that autoresponder and the endless amount of development hours that go in creating varieties of native integrations and then many more recurring support hours that go in repairing those connections are cut off by some of the smarter LTD founders who simply provided an HTML Form code connectivity to ANY AUTRESPONDER resulting into heavy reduction of development hours in integrations, in support and expanding the sales canvas.

Hi Sushil,

We've released Zapier in beta since then and are working on other similar automations (Integromat etc. - cheaper versions of it)

Also custom APIs are in the roadmap, which will open up even bigger possibilities + our own Developer API.

Between the above, I think most of the applications and automated workflows will be covered.

Hope it make sense.

Cheers,
Rachit
