Q: Hello, How is SEO handled in regards to connecting Storipress to Wordpress?
Does Storipress support no-index subdirectory redirects (to preserve the SEO of the main domain) or does it require sub domains to be created and linked?
I really enjoy what your software purports to do and I can see it bringing a lot of value to several of my clients, however, the lack of information regarding SEO implications is making me hesitate.

May 14, 2024A: Hey! We sync your SEO custom fields with Storipress, e.g. you can edit your SEO custom fields in Storipress. If your WordPress has no index subdirectory redirects, then that is handled WordPress side. Storipress is just a data source for WordPress if you connect these two platforms together.
We have a bunch of Enterprise clients which love our SEO :)

So, to be clear, if I have a Wordpress site installed on my own cloud server (example.com) and I wish to use Storipress along side it, what would the infrastructure and domain look like? I know Storipress runs off of its own cloud infrastructure, however, it's the way it interacts with my existing domain that I am still unsure of. It seems that there are three possibilities - (1). Storipress uses a subdomain, (2). Storipress uses a subdirectory, (3). Storipress just functions as a blog builder and the Wordpress plugin transfers all blogs to the Wordpress server upon completion, which is where the client will see them. Could you clarify what the ideal setup would be, to maintain SEO for an existing Wordpress site?
(1). If Storipress requires subdomain (blog.example.com) to work, how does that impact the SEO of the primary domain.? I was under the impression that all major search engines treat sub domains as completely separate websites for SEO purposes. Has Storipress found a workaround for this? If I assign Storipress to a subdomain, will I still be able to use the blogs on Storipress (blog.example.com) to increase the SEO of the primary domain (example.com)?
(2). Is Storipress capable of utilizing a subdirectory of my primary domain (example.com/blog/)? If so, this would be great as it keep all my SEO efforts on the same primary domain, however, it would require some Cloudflare magic to have the domain name resolve the subdirectory of one server (my cloud server) to a completely separate server (Storipress). Additionally, I assume I would have to make sure Storipress is listed as 'no-index' so that Google and other search engines actually treat both servers as the same website/domain. Are my assumptions here correct? Would Storipress even support this type of integration?
(3). Using Storipress as "another data source for Wordpress" as you put it in your previous answer. How does this work, technically speaking? Does the Wordpress plugin allow two way synchronization? One way sync? Can I use Storipress's impressive looking workflow and blog builder to simply design and publish the content but otherwise host the blogs on Wordpress? If so, this is obviously still of interest as your workflow features are nothing short of impressive.
Again, fantastic looking product - I just want to make sure I would be able to use it to boost my primary domain's SEO instead of having them all my nice Storipress blogs 'offsite' on a subdomain.
Thanks,
Josh
Hey Apps08,
If you use Storipress with WordPress, your WordPress blog would be under a subdirectory, not a subdomain as we do not host your site!
Re datasync, it is a 2 way sync, and we basically just push content to your Wordpress database and let your WordPress theming plugin make the theme.
