Story Chief

Product details

Q: Regarding the duplicate content issue, many like me believe it is a myth and that it is only a problem when ...

you have duplicate content on the same blog/domain.

What if I wanted the full story posted on all my channels? Is this possible? If not, I believe it should be.

A: Hi there,

You can, depending on how much content you produce between those 3 brands. Less then 20 articles? Then you should be good with one, else 2 is probably the way to go.

I do encourage you to create an account per brand. That way you can keep the channel, stories and stats nicely separated, wich makes for a better user experience.

Hi fellow Sumo-ling,

Yes, there's a lot of talk about that, and since we can't be 100% sure, we implemented the canonical url solution everywhere, so you don't have to worry about it. ever!

If you'd want to post the full story everywhere, we totally encourage you to do so. We set out Story Chief for that exact purpose! going multichannel!

So is there an option in the channel posting area to either post a canonical link or the full story?

Your reply leads me to believe we can post either way.

Hi there, yes if you publish to multiple cms systems you can choose the primary destination per article. All your links will lead to that destination and canonical urls will be fixed automatically. Here more info:

it adds a canonical tag that points to the blog that you choose as principal/main/default. So there's no duplicate content issue
