I’ve been watching Subhub for close to a decade and I’m happy that they’re offering an AppSumo LTD. After testing out a trial account, I decided to buy 3 codes.

I’m planning to launch a lot of courses this year and decided to use Subhub instead of using membership, LMS, or digital cart plugins for Wordpress.

The main reason being that it’s a managed service that offers stability, simplicity, security with awesome customer service - thanks Jeanne. Since I’m building a business for the long-term, I don’t want to deal with short-term SaaS providers, Wordpress hackers, WP plugin compatibility issues, and hosting performance while scaling to thousands of customers. I also tested the platform on GTMetrix and Web.dev and Subhub is fast!

Right now, I’m using a minimal, fast install of Wordpress for providing content marketing and Subhub on a subdomain for the shopping experience. While you can host everything on Subhub, I wanted to retain Wordpress for all of the marketing capabilities. By offloading the shopping experience and removing plugin bloat, I was able to boost my WP site’s performance from 19-40 to over 90.

I’ve also been able to use my custom CSS and JavaScript on Subhub which allows me to customize my frontend UI and have even used jQuery to replace some hardcoded text - so the platform is highly customizable.

There’s still a lot that they can do to enhance the Subhub admin experience. The good thing is that they encourage feedback and reply quickly.

So far, I’m extremely happy with Subhub!
