Q: I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around this.
Please explain it to me like I'm 5. :)
We have several different web hosts right now. Veerotech, Namecheap, Hostgator, etc.
1. Do we keep those hosts, are you the new host?
2. Do we have to find a different host?
3. Do we need to update nameservers for all of our clients?
4. Would this replace ManageWP that we use to manage client WP sites now?
Help me understand, I'm very interested, as are my dev's.
I am also on the brink of buying but can't until above questions are addressed promptly.
Just a fellow sumoling who is also considering to buy it.
Your answers:
1: You will need a new host. You can create a fresh account or either of these: Digital Ocean, Vultr, AWS, Akamai or anywhere else where you have full dedicated server with root access. And will need to do a fresh script install/ server creation.
2: Answered above.
3: No need to change Name Servers. Just create A records.
4: Yes, practically it can replace ManageWP almost entirely.
It is not a host on its own. It is a platform to manage VPS servers.
You have to buy your VPS servers from whichever company you want (e.g. Digital Ocean, Vultr etc.), then you can host your websites (or migrate them from other hosts) on those servers.
If you don't understand any of that then you should probably stick with your regular non-vps hosts.
