I have been testing different alternatives on Appsumo and also other paid ones like Tawk.to.
I believe Support Board is the best quality/price option. I like that it has BYOK, because then I can choose the model I want, ensuring good performance in responses. Other options on the market force you to use "their" AI, and in the end, it is always based on the cheapest possible model, so the responses always feel artificial.
Beyond that, I think Support Board has a great opportunity to improve its system to make it more intuitive and user-friendly. Right now, unless you have some prior knowledge, for new users in the world of AI and also in support chats, there is a somewhat complex learning curve at the beginning.
However, it is something that can be improved over time.
The system itself seems robust, functional, and advanced. It can cover all your support needs. In my case, we do a whitelabel of GHL and this software is definitely more than enough to support our clients.
I chose the highest tier... not because I needed many users, but for the amount of characters for training the AI. In our case, we had more than 300 docs created in tawk.to. What we did was leave them there with their free plan (there is no way to export them all at once) and we trained the Support Board AI with the links of each document. It took a couple of hours of work, and with that, the AI is trained and ready to respond to users.

Excellent cost/benefit ratio
When I purchased the software, I did a lot of research, and two features caught my attention: white label and no monthly fees. My project took a while to launch, and I took advantage of that time to study the tool, which is incredibly powerful. I loved it.
Another point is the regular updates, a crucial aspect of purchasing software. The technology field changes very quickly and offers important improvements.
I have no regrets and will purchase more licenses.

So far so good!
I like this app and especially for the current appsumo price. Having a customer support application that auto-replies with AI which I have trained, and then if the AI doesn't know the answers then can transfer over to human agent is very important for me! I could not find any other software that does this for both email and chatbot (which Support Board offers more than that, but those were my requirements currently). And it does the job!!
Please note for anyone considering this and additional considerations:
1. The initial setup documentation is quite lengthy and I do recommend paying them more for the help on their "hire us" page to perform initial setup, but when it comes to their help after that and with any possible bugs or fixes, their team is very quick to respond and are very helpful! (I saw other reviews saying support board team would not help with initial setup from others unless you hired them, but I knew that going in and found doing so has been very helpful!)
2. Also please note using your own provided OpenAI api token key is good too so you don't have to worry about using up the support board credits, which is fine by me! (OpenAI is not free, so I don't think it's reasonable to expect Support Board to cover that fee indefinitely).
