Q: Why I can't download if no “View on Vimeo” option is available?
Some videos from course platforms don’t seem to be detected or downloadable, even though they appear to be hosted on Vimeo.
In certain cases, one lesson works fine (you can right-click and see “View on Vimeo” or the downloader detects it), but another lesson on the same platform doesn’t show any Vimeo-related option and cannot be downloaded at all.
Instead, the player only shows options like:
* Screenshot frame
* Debug info
* Keyboard shortcuts
Since Vimeo is listed as a supported platform here:
https://www.nablamind.com/support-center/website-list
Why does this happen?
Are some Vimeo videos embedded differently or protected in a way that prevents detection?
Is there a workaround for these cases?
Would be helpful to understand how to handle this situation.

Mar 24, 2026A: Hello,
Have you tried viewing and downloading videos using the Private (built-in browser) feature?
If some Vimeo videos can be downloaded while others cannot, this is usually because certain Vimeo-hosted videos are embedded or delivered in ways that prevent standard downloaders from detecting them. Even though Vimeo is on our supported list, factors like the embedding method, privacy settings, DRM protection, or custom player configurations can sometimes block detection.
If you're unable to download all Vimeo videos, please contact us by email and attach the vd_server.log file. We'll analyze it and help you as soon as possible.
How to locate the log file:
Windows: Press Win + R, paste the following and press Enter:
%AppData%\NablaMind\SurFast Video Downloader
Mac: Open Finder → Go → Go to Folder, then paste:
~/Library/Application Support/NablaMind/SurFast Video Downloader
Thank you for your understanding. We're here to help!
