No Facebook/Insta videos without passwords.
I purchased the software and was initially very satisfied. However, I am now being asked to log in to the SufastDownloader app in order to download an Instagram video.
Under no circumstances will I enter my Instagram password on a third-party website. Without entering my password in the app, it is not possible to download videos from Instagram or Facebook.

Due to platform policies and access restrictions on Facebook and Instagram, login is sometimes required and sometimes not:
1. According to testing, public videos on Facebook can usually be downloaded without logging in at the moment.
2. For private, restricted, or login-only content (including many Instagram videos), authentication is required to access the video.
Please rest assured that your credentials are not collected, stored, or visible to us. The login process happens through the official Facebook/Instagram environment, and SurFast Video Downloader only uses temporary cookies to obtain the necessary access permissions—similar to how a browser session works.
This is also consistent with how other platforms handle protected content (for example, downloading private YouTube videos also requires account-based access).
If you prefer not to log in, you can still download publicly accessible videos without any issue.
