Q: Question about using my own NFC card with Swft Connect

Hey Pawan & the Swft Team,

I really like what you’re building with Swft Connect and had a quick question. I noticed you offer NFC cards as an add-on, but I already own some blank NTAG213 NFC cards (non-metal, rewritable).

Would it be possible for me to program one of my own cards with my Swft profile link and have it work seamlessly with your platform? If so, are there any limitations I should be aware of (for example: analytics, tracking, or card-specific features that only apply to Swft-issued cards)?

Thanks in advance for clarifying — I’d love to know before I order additional cards.

Best,
Frank

A: Hey. Yes you can just embed your profile link. It'll track as a regular profile link. The limitation is if your profile link changes for whatever reason eg username change or domain change the card will need reembedding.

Thanks Pawan for the quick response.
Last question, does it matter what NFC technology it is? As an example NTAG215 or 213, etc. does it matter or does it have to be a specific kind?

No worries! Both 213 and 215 will be fine. We use 213 for our products. 215 just gives you more data you can store, but the amount of data required is not much at all since it's just a link. The scanning "power" on both is the same.
