Q: Shopify Triggers - Fulfillment and Split Orders

Hey - this looks like a great platform.

For Shopify store owners - My question is regarding transactional emails for Fulfillment events.

1. I do not see any "Item Fulfilled" or "Partially Fulfilled" triggers in your connected apps documentation. Does SwipeOne support transactional triggers in Shopify related to Fulfillment? (ie., providing tracking number in an email to customers)

2. In certain situations, orders that may be a split order and ship in two or three shipments with different tracking numbers per shipment. Does SwipeOne support sending transactional emails for partial fulfillment, and allow to send emails for each time an item from an order ships, with a separate tracking number?

A: Hi,

Thank you for your interest, and thanks for your questions regarding Shopify triggers.

We have an "Order Fulfilled" event through which you can send transactional emails, including tracking numbers. While we don't have specific triggers labeled "Item Fulfilled" or "Partially Fulfilled," the "Order Fulfilled" event triggers each time even if a part of the order is fulfilled.

Shopify's API, unfortunately, does not support distinct events for partial or split order fulfillments ( https://www.perplexity.ai/search/does-shopify-have-partial-spli-SviLL2fWSKqkDXq_jRAEWQ#0 ). However, you can use the "Order Fulfillment" trigger (which fires for each fulfillment, even partial ones) and then use the Filter Node in Swipe One's Workflows to filter based on event properties. You would need to examine the data sent with the "Order Fulfilled" event to see if it contains enough information (like line item details or fulfillment IDs) to differentiate between partial shipments and send the appropriate email with the correct tracking number. This might require some experimentation to set up correctly.
