I have been using shortened URL system for almost 2 years now, a LTD with appsumo at US14 x (I bought 2). That particular Shorten Link System is cheap, usable but very basic. If you use godaddy.com domain, you need to migrate your Nameserver over to Cloudflare.com and proxied it from there. It has basic shortened link, Google analytics but NOT error 404 redirection (meaning if your link fails, it does not send the User to a 'Sorry Link down' Page of your choosing. And it does not offer link Labelling or Tagging (such as free class, youtube-Only, FB-only tags). It just list out all your 100 or 1000 links at one-go without Tag/Label search. But it is USD14. I bought 2 x USD14 each Domain has it only system, making messy less messy.

As for t2m, it comes with 7 custom domains. Wow! Wouldn't that be messy too? No, t2m has campaign tagging in which allowing you to label or tag each shortened link generated with its IDENTIFYING campaign.....ShortenURL for youtube-only, ShortenURL for FB. I run SMS campaign with 2 shortened Custom Domain URL. All i have to do was to label them under SMS, and a search on SMS tag reveals all 2 domains and its shortened URL (SHURL) for SMS campaign. And one great feature on SURL is the ability to set a Systemwide Expiry Date (such as 3 or 6, 12 months on creation date of the SHURL) or you can leave it Active forever, your choice.

Setting up the custom domain to t2M (godaddy) is so simple. Copy the t2m's IP address and paste it to your godaddy.com VALUE. Of course, you can't have domain ABC.com pointed to your webserver and SHURL t2m at the same time. For newbies, just get a new domain (preferably short-spelling) for shortened link purposes. Once you pointed to t2m server, just wait for 1 hour and go setup DOMAIN in t2m. You are done. Initially, t2m allows you to use http: during domain setup. BUT you can write to support for FREE-Upgrade to SSL or secured HTTPS:// (about 1 day turnaround time). You can operate on unsecured HTTP, but google chrome tends to make a fuss about it being unsecured, scaring off Users to click your SHURL, fearing phishing, hacking or scamming ill-intention. Just upgrade, it is totally painless and free - reach out to support.

SHURL setup is ridiculously easy and once done you can also download the PNG, ready made QRcode of your SHURL. And there are many feature like ZAPIER integration, bulk upload of SHURL (csv tools import n export), API key and API integration for Developers, and the ability to share directly to Facebook, Pinterest + 180 others. It just means that you can have your own SHURL (self branding domain) on Facebook Posts, without using FB.me only. The only thing missing for me is UTM for Google Analytics, which I believe is an upgrade from this LTD pack. T2m provides its analytics and reporting.

If you are new, go for USD14. If you are planning to generate more that 100 SHURL, you need something like T2m or better. I am using t2m now, an upgrade from USD14x2 into 1 platform.
