There are some apps on AppSumo that are just deeply in need of being called out. The value proposition to this one would actually be pretty high, if it worked properly.

So initially, you are introduced to a screen to customize preferences, and literally every image, every icon display, is broken. The channel preference customization buttons still work, but for some reason, every icon behind it doesn't display. Is that a big deal? Not really, so long as it does it's job-- but it's a lousy first impression. And what's more, WHY THE HECK DO OUR VIDEO PREFERENCES MATTER? YOU'RE A DATA SCRAPER. THIS STEP IS SILLY AND UNNECESSARY.

Second, connecting the application isn't very well documented. There's a video showing you how to use it, but I can see how everyone in the comments is confused. They've never installed an extension on Drive. So you need to authorize the app in several steps. I figured that part out, but it involved some trial and error.

Third. Well, the data is just 'off' sometimes. My first three channels scraped on Yotube say the channels all have -9223372036854780000 subscribers. Nevermind that you can't have that many 'negative' subscribers-- three separate channels have exactly -9223372036854780000 read as the channel out. I suppose the negative means they're deceased.

Fourth. The first channel I tested didn't pull any email (even though it was right there under the Captcha). The second and third channels pulled the email (which is why I'm gracious enough to give it 2 tacos).

I don't have the stomach to sit and try more channels, let alone test it on another platform. I recall reading a feature about generating contracts (which another Sumoling mentioned is the app's single saving grace)-- but after this numbing experience, and the developer's lack of responses, I can safely say you can pass on this. Developer has likely checked out.

It's not working.

Appears not to have been updated since 2022. Signup page shows a ton of errors in the browser console, and does not work.

Looks like it is also using or based on a white label version of LeadDyno.

I have tried reaching out. I was sceptical seeing no reply to the previous review. Took a chance, didn't pay off. All good thanks to AppSumo's refund policy.

First time I tried TalenSheets, I quickly went to add Instagram profiles and right away there was an issue: there's absolutely no data pulled (it says the app is busy pulling the data and that I should come back in 24hrs but we all know it's an automatic message that just means it will never ever work...) and when I tried to actually enter the info in the sheet, it just fills up one cell with 'www.instagram.com'... Thanx for nothing.
Then I tried to go on YouTube. Again, zero data, oh well, that's not entirely true, it said only one thing: '5 subscribers' whereas the profile actually has 5,500 subs...
Trying to pull this BS data into the sheet had no effect again, I just got an error '[object object]' within the chrome extension.
I will ask for a refund right away and I wish AppSumo to whom I've been giving loads of cash for more than 7 years would check the apps they have for sale on their store.

I buy a lot of AppSumo deals. TalentSheets didn't just inspire me to buy it-- but also inspired me to write a totally un-incentivized review. TalentSheets rocks. This is 5 Tacos with a free side of spicy guac.

If you do any influencer work or data collection work for social media this is absurdly cool. I think a lot of people won't understand it or pass it over, because it's not just some straightforward cloud -based SaaS. Rather, it is both: a chrome extension and a sheets extension that work together seamlessly, powered by an amazing idea and great coding... It is built like this because clearly the tool has been optimized to do the job it does perfectly. Don't let the combo of extension and sheets throw you or make you avoid this. The on-boarding is great and it takes a minute of painless button-pushing to get it working flawlessly.

Yeah, if you are reading this review you probably want me to unpack it more. Just get it. Try it out. You'll understand more in 5 minutes of using it than an hour of reading reviews. This tool is special and not to be missed.

I hope the team keeps building like maniacs, because as they add more social media platforms (please! and fast!) and keep growing the database this will be just jaw-dropping next-level.

What a terrific tool this is. TalentSheets allows you to grab influencer data and automatically add it to the Google spreadsheet of your choice. This is really the smartest way to assess and compile your own list of influencers, because on the whole they are expensive and you need to look at them individually and up close to make sure they are the right fit. To make all this WAY easier, TalentSheets appends some very useful data when it adds the record to Google sheets, making vetting influencers SO much easier and more efficient. Among other info, it includes the influencer's level of engagement, which is super important. I can also see some clever additional uses for this, including assessing competitive youtube and instragram accounts and gleaning insights from them. TalentSheets obviously already has a large and healthy database based on my initial testing. Although it won't always produce a match in every instance, it is definitely good enough to be a contender and useful right now. I noticed that in the few instances I didn't get a match, it noted that the subject account was being added to their database, so I assume that any such record will be populated in short order. Honestly, for the incredibly reasonable price, this is an oustanding value for such a useful tool. I highly recommend this.
