Apr 8, 2025A: That's correct. As a SaaS company, we incur costs for the life of the account, so an LTD as such a huge discount is not sustainable for most SaaS companies. Therefore, AppSumo and Tarvent are trying a new type of deal that is still a huge win for sumo-lings, while allowing Tarvent to stay in business over the long term.
At no point was this ever announced to people who purchased prior to the AppSumo updating the sales page. I don't see a single email about it. I purchased this under the assumption it was an LTD. Had I known this, I would not have made the purchase.
It's one thing to change deal terms, it's another to do it without so much as an email and it should be called out.
