I have been following the progress of Taskade since 2021. I had one user lifetime account. To be honest at the beginning I was not hopeful. It was mainly to take notes which now evolve into something advanced and it is possible to fit that in the workflow.

Here is the note to the founders - I have been in Agile product team leadership for a while now so here are my quick observations:

The likes of it:
1) It works great as note taking with highlights and clean formatting .
2) There are a good set of growing templates collection to bootstrap your needs.
3) There are unlimited plans
4) You can upgrade workspaces
5) You can interlink between objects in different projects
6) Project level completion button
7) Dark mode

Some of the things that are essential for productivity but they are missing:
a) Kanban boards - very difficult to use on mobile and sometimes in computers too. Kanban boards are supposed to be drag and drop but in actual scenario it is very difficult to do so in a smaller screen space. It should not use drag handles - it should use rectangular areas for drag and drop

b) switching between projects - this is not even comfortable to do on a computer because it is difficult to pick the area to drag or even click, you will accidentally click on due date or assignee buttons. This should also have rectangular objects to make this process easy. You can take a cue from Trello or nifty or clickup

c) Interlinking only objects inside projects, you cant actually copy the project link

d) Project level hierarchy does not exist

e) Interlinking should be included in the slash (/) command dropdown, so it would not require me to go to root and select another project and copy an object link. It takes too much time to switch back and forth between projects. This slash command should have a quick search to accommodate what I am trying to link to.

f) There is no task dependency options

g) taskbar button pops up quick entry - which is nice but not always productive, there should be option to disable it and enable simple option to show the main window/tab

h) there is no granular notifications control at workspace level

i) I have used [email protected] to redeem the product, now I created a specific workspace for [email protected], upgrade it accordingly - added that user to the workspace and made him an owner of the workspace which is already upgraded to unlimited. Now I removed [email protected] from that workspace and the workspace goes back to free version. Since both the users are part of the system - i am not sure how the upgraded workspace worked. It was upgraded and became a free workspace as soon as user [email protected] was removed from the ownership. There is a lot of cases this situation would apply. This needs to be sorted out.

j) There is no extra font options for the UI. Only one font.

k) there is no option to enter <code> objects, since this is a PM tool - it should definitely enable this.
