Happy With My Decision
I've been using Taskade for over a week and it's great.
I used Trello before switching to Monday.com at work and our productivity has improved. I was looking for a similar app that's easier to use so I can manage personal and family projects.
During my tests I installed Asana, TickTick, Todoist, Mattermost, Omnifocus, and a handful of others. I chose Taskade because I like the features, integrations, 2-way calendar sync is nice, and support seems responsive. I appreciate how their future plans, product updates, and change are available to the public.
I live in spreadsheets and one thing I thought was missing is the ability to see a list in table, but the Action view does this and has the columns I need.
The tricky part for me was showing my tasks under "My Tasks" or "workspace > tasks" or "workspace > folder > tasks". To make this work, I need to either add a due date to a task or assign myself to the task. For multiple tasks it was easy to select multiple rows and the assign them all to myself in 2 clicks using the bottom menu.
Chat - I'm looking forward to using this it once I add more users.
A few other reasons it was worth upgrading from the free tier:
Recurring tasks, bulk assign tasks to people, bulk adding due dates, 2 way Google calendar connection, and the Zapier integrations.
I purchased Tier 1 and I'm happy with my decision.
