Most frustrating experience on AppSumo
Long time customer of AppSumo.
This was the worst purchase ever. Not only because of the tool, which had a few merits (thanks to the developer), hence the two-star rating.
Main frustrations were:
1. Poor usability and poor results.
2. Customer support style and philosophy. It's subjective, but this is how ratings function.
3. The way one-star ratings disappeared.
(This, and the many duds I purchased from AppSumo in the last years, made me more cautious.)
AppSumo was founded on the idea of giving good software at unbeatable prices for those willing to do the testing work for the SaaS owners. I am not sure that this applies anymore.
I might buy other deals from AppSumo, but I will pay attention to how sellers respond to the public. I won't buy anything from anyone who talks like the guy who brought us this wonderful deal.

an impressive task manager with equally impressive support
It took me awhile to get through to Support, once I joined their community, I was then given their actual support email, however just using the messaging system within the community I was able to get outstanding. Support and My questions resolved within hours of me raising the support request.
It was quite impressive to see the data that was scraped when you know how to use this tool properly.

Incredible tool but inconsistent reliability
I've been using TaskMagic on the highest tier for over a year now.
Pros:
Lots of integrations. HTTP and Webhooks are easy to setup and serve as a good workaround for non-integrated apps.
The Automation Flows and their "runs" are unlimited - which is something you just don't see elsewhere.
It's an easy tool and user friendly. The path building is visually intuitive and a great resource for beginners.
Drawbacks:
In more recent months the webhooks and HTTP modules have become inconsistent in reliability. Note that they simply do not transmit or receive data on some days. I'm very experienced in using this tool and many others like it, and it's obvious to me when there's an internal issue vs. user error. The bigger problem is there's no status page to announce server outages and no support whatsoever. They refer you to a skool thread/forum mostly dedicated to updates and announcements. You have to be participative with comments before you can message or post items.
Overall Take:
I made this tool very central to some of my daily operations but unforunately, I've recently been migrating to Boost.Space (Make.com engine) due to the inconsistency of its features.
I normally wait a year before reviewing products on AppSumo. Had the performance remained reliable in the past couple of months, this "scheduled" review on my part would have been 5 tacos hands down.

Never work, no answer from CS, can't automate anything,
I bought a upper tier with the ambition to test many tasks. The deal is a scam, you can't automate anything with Appsumo plan, even if you're above 3rd tier.
I try to get answers from the CS on how it is possible to be forced to pay extra credits to automate a single task when you just spend hundreds on that very promise. No answer.
Scam.
And I canceled my Appsumo Plus because they won't do anything about it + they don't test the product.
No trust over Appsumo platform

Non existent support and they made their own tool unusable
They did a major "upgrade" recently that basically made it unusable and support is basically non existent.
Things that used to take 30 seconds to do, like triggering an automation, now takes an hour, when the new triggering system feels like working as intended.
It´s been 5 days since any emails has been responded and it was not even helpful. (I´ve had a problem for over a month now, sent countless emails and only got 2 non helpful one liner responses.
They informed they were going to release an stable earlier version (before changing the trigger for automations) and just backed out of it, completely ignoring questions about it.
Things that were free to use, lifetime users now have to pay extra (triggering automations, it´s not my case, but I saw other users reporting this on the forum)
If I could give it -5 tacos, I would, what a disaster.
Beware.
