It's alright if you like automations like this...
So, total bait title.
I will start here though to give some context.
2 weeks ago, I was about to come on AS and write a 1 star review, no bullshhhh.
I had bought TM probably within the first hour of their first release, and I refunded it. Then at somepoint I think during the same campaign, I bought it again, at Tier 4 and I was super excited with some of the demos that were shown and what was capable.
I even bought the upgrade for 100 cloud hours later when it was offered(not cheap).
But, it's been a rough couple of years, I never really got to create anything meaningful, useful, or valuable enough to sell. Or, at least support my workflows enough to increase my margins by reducing my efforts, you know?
So, here comes agent steps in TM V1 and hellalujah!
This seemed to be the missing piece, but, I was wrong. Because, while this handled a very critical piece of the workflow, it still didn't complete the whole flow.
This is where V2 comes in, like Gandalf coming up over the hill with freaking white light behind him, dan dadada! Here TM comes in to save the day, week, month, year(s).
You HAVE to use it to experience the power that was always supposed to be the final product, or at least a hell of a lot closer to it.
With V2, you get a full workflow with a prompt, that includes complicated browser automation steps, i.e. visit page, scrape, parse using custom code, etc. That's a HUGE load off. But then, I said full workflow, so that means, now, not only is the most complicated step taken care of, but now your triggers, and subsequent actions are taken care of now too.
So that precious data that was all prettied up can now be sent off to the next step/app, sheets, discord, etc.
This is the closest thing to a real agent that LLMs say are the solution, but really, are they?
Which brings me to my next point. Claude, and ChatGPT are both bosses in their own right, but holy crab, talk about token burning, you become a pyromaniac and got what? A notification to your team that a potential lead (dud) needs a response. All the while you went through 20% of your usage, or dollars in credits... Not cool, efficient, or sustainable.
After you build your automation, using TM's interal Copilot or...WITH MCP, which is SUPER efficient, you can build a whole flow(triggers, browser automation, data clean up, and final destination/action) and you can use 'app credits' which you have a pool of, separate from 'AI credits' to build it all out without anything but a simple prompt.
Simple explanation:
Build it - AI credits (buy credits, or use MCP(if your tier supports it))
Run it - App credits (set number based on tier/subscription, 1 credit per step, so 5 step flow = 5 credits)
So, when an app ACTUALLY becomes better than the previous version, making it simpler to accomplish your REAL, needle-moving, business goals, this is a PERFECT case of that happening.
Yes, the AI and App credits are new and ongoing, but if your not making or saving money using this, that's entirely on you, yes, you, not Appsumo, not TaskMagic, it's you.
They have templates they are working on, and flows that are shared in their Skool community, so get in, even if you have to buy the Plus upgrade.
I am not a fanboy, I am their worst critic by the way. You can ask Kyle and Jeremy, I was really upset with them, several times. But I reciprocate; when I felt wronged, I expressed that, and now I feel blessed I reciprocate that too.
And so far, even with the acquisition, it's been nothing but going up in quality for the product and customer service.
You don't need a debate on a LTD hypothesis, you need to get in and start freaking sprinting. This is on you, the vehicle(TaskMagic) is here, you just need to choose whether you want to take advantage of the opportunity now or not.
