it was founded in 2019 and it is located in Los Angeles, CA

What are past projects, failures, or successes you’ve had in your career?

I've built 3 six figure no code tech companies from nothing, as a solo founder. It's been a struggle lol. Nothing really died, it just rolled into the next coompany, i guess. I've won Product hunt trophies (I have one on my desk) for shipping good products ;) I was also the first person in my entire family to graduate college. Started from the bottom (trailer park kid) and now im here.

What’s the origin of the idea for your product?

I've built 3, six-figure and 1 seven-figure no code tech companies from nothing, as a solo founder who CANNOT code. I've done all this utilizing different forms of automations and no code tools. I always seemed to run into limitations with other automation tools and the learning curves were steep. Whether I wanted to spin up servers for WP sites with so-called "one click" WP hosts, or I wanted to grant someone access to a community that didn't have an API to automatically create a user. I hit walls and was limited to whatever API there was (and I had no idea was an API was at the time). I just needed something to do the "one-click"ing for me to set up the site or the typing FOR ME. I could use a virtual assistant, but that rarely cut it and took a lot of back and forth, and they're costly over time. That's why we built TaskMagic. To do the clicking, typing and copy/pasting FOR YOU.

Unlimited automation, being able to automate things that you would normally need a human to do on a computer

Q: Tips for Fix?

I was hoping to test TaskMagic before the AppSumo deal was done so I could recommend it to others. You fixed the install issue from yesterday, thank you! Now my computer is crashing and restarting on it's own when attempting to record my 1st automation; then it freezes after restarting itself. I had to hard reset to fix the crash/restart loop (no opportunity to force quit). It displayed a warning of running out of application memory before crashing. Any settings I need to adjust on my end to prevent TaskMagic from overwhelming and crashing my computer (using 2024 Apple M4 chip)? Thanks for your help, I'm still excited and hopeful to get it running properly!

The second issue might be a specific computer thing. Can you send us a video and maybe the stats like your software version history. Idk if we’ve tested on the m4, but it’s silicon so it should be the same. I can look into it. Lemme know the software version at support at taskmagic dot com ;)

Q: Are you planning on optimizing your mac application to support Apple Silicon and not have to run through Rosetta?

I bought tier 4 last time you were on Appsumo, and while I like the app, the fact that it is not optimized for M-series CPUs really sucks.

It is slow and unresponsive on my M1 Pro MBP - still usable, but noticably slower than it should be and much more sluggish than every other app I use. In fact, it works better on my 2013 MBP, which is an almost 10 years older Intel machine. I think that says a lot.

Please let me know if you are planning on improving the performance on newer mac models by finally supporting M-series CPUs natively.

Q: Can TaskMagic copy the design elements of an app or website similar to Mobbin but to Figma?

Curious if AI in TaskMagic can log into a site that requires a password AND has vision and can discover all the clickable items on a page and then take screen shots of what each button or link does and then copy each design element to a google sheet or even better to Figma. I was really excited, but it crashes Macs

I have an M4 Macbook, my other employee has a M3, I was really looking forward to this. It has been crashing our computer which is crazy. It eats up the memory slowly, until the screen freezes... and then everything crashes.

I bought the largest Tier, it wasn't cheap. If they resolve this, I will buy it again, but for now it doesn't work on Mac and was crashing the computer... I gotta refund because of this. Support wasn't really there to help.

Buggy App Crashes my M4

The truth is that I am extremely disappointed with TaskMagic. I am a user of several softwares from Lazy Empire...

As soon as TaskMagic was launched, I had it on my radar and it caught my attention. It wasn't until today that I decided to purchase it at a relatively high tier (Tier 4) with the sole goal of keeping the software and making it a reliable tool in my agency's processes.

However, I must honestly say that I have spent hours wasted trying to run the software. It’s simply impossible and completely bugs my PC.

I haven't even been able to use the software, because literally when I open the TaskMagic app, it crashes my computer completely and causes so many bugs and lag that I had to turn it off and on more than 10 times to be able to keep using it.

The most absurd part is that I have a maxed-out Mac Mini M4 PRO upgrade, which is one of the most powerful computers available for a regular user on the market, and the software consumes so much RAM and makes the PC so heavy that it crashes completely and I can't continue using it.

I was very excited about the purchase of this software and unfortunately I find myself needing to request an immediate refund. I simply couldn't even test TaskMagic.

I am sad because it was a software I intended to keep, but my latest-generation PC doesn’t run the app optimally, and there's nothing more I can do.

Even though I am so angry about the situation that I wanted to leave a 1-star rating, I will leave 3 because I know the software has potential... however, the app (necessary to use the automation features) is completely buggy.

im not sure how i feel at this point.

TaskMagic initially felt like a game-changer, and I still believe it has significant potential. The platform's overall functionality is strong, and the support team is responsive and tries to help where they can.

However, I’ve encountered a major issue with the list trigger feature. Specifically, when I schedule an automation that uses a list trigger, it fails to read from and write to the connected sheet—despite working perfectly when run manually. I've worked closely with the support team and followed all recommended steps, but the issue remains unresolved till this day and its been 4 months now. They are mentioning that they are making the flow i had working in the past " not allowed" i purchased your application specifically for me to be able to automate tasks that can be automated and it seems like i wasted a tier 5 account for 4 months to just be ignored at this point.

That said, the team has assured me a fix is on the way but it has been 4 months at this point. If this issue gets resolved, I would have no hesitation in fully recommending TaskMagic. It has the foundations of a powerful automation tool.

I want you to feel loved! Bc I love all the lazies! I’m not sure what issue it is necessarily but just popup a message to support ;) I just checked and this issue was fixed some time ago. Have you rechecked?? Gathered even more info for you: from the dev team: “The bug he’s mentioning was fixed in the 2.0 release. The trigger they’re talking about is being moved to “discouraged” as we’ve announced for over 6 months now because Theres improved better ways to trigger things therefore making the old way discouraged” which is part of the growing from the old users not learning the new way. Can you let me know?

Tier One buyers beware

I'm sure the dev will call this "not a real one-star review" or accuse me of being cheap, but at the tier one level, I didn't have access to creating a flow or doing seemingly anything. When I clicked to create a new flow both from scratch and from a template, I was redirected to a subscription page. All of the other menu options led me to a page displaying the following message: "This feature requires a higher plan. Please upgrade to access it."

I watched a very condescending onboarding video to see if I was doing something wrong, and I followed the directions from the video, but was still met with the same subscription page. I tried to access flows in both the browser interface and the desktop app. I'm not sure what tier one actually got me, because isn't the whole point of the software to create automations? I couldn't access a way to actually do that at tier one. I checked to see if I had activated the LTD from AppSumo successfully, and was able to confirm that I had done so.

I returned the product, deleted the app, and will go back to Zapier for my automations.

UPDATE: As predicted, this dev is unhinged. Read his responses to negative reviews before you choose to support his product. The responses are absolutely wild. As a business owner, my advice to the dev is to not be so rabbit-eared and to respond to negative reviews with introspection, humility, and kindness instead of blame and deflection. He could actually learn and grow from some of the well thought-out reviews that have been posted instead of responding with anger and insulting the reviewers.

You come in here just to poop on something and I guess lie? Bc someone has hurt you somewhere? I’m sorry they did that. But please don’t take it out on us or others.
