Q: Viable alternative to hosting companies?

Hi Nick.
I host some sites on a mainstream hosting provider. Among other things, I use the cPanel to set up email addresses for my clients.

In reading all the comments so far you've said that there is no access to the cPanel, which if I understand it means that I would need to continue to have an account with my current hosting provider in keep those email addresses or set up others in the future. Am I understanding this correctly? Thanks for your time.

A: Thanks Michael for your time! You're right - we don't offer cPanel access nor emails.

Q: History

1) how long have you been in the business?
2) how many customers ie. websites do you host?
3) how big is your team? especially technical + support
4) do you have CDN or where are your servers to make sure we can host the website globally with no slow speed?
5) so the price renews each year depending on my appsumo plan right?
6) do you have a workspace so my clients can manage their websites by themselves?
7) does it auto-update WP plugins that I install on my site?

A: Thank you for your questions! Here are the answers:

1) TasteWP has been around for over 4 years now. Inisev, the mother company (https://inisev.com), has been around for over 10 years.
2) We don't disclose the exact number of clients, but we can say that it's in the higher 5-digit area.
3) We're around 8 people for TasteWP, with 3 in support.
4) Our servers are hosted in Germany. They are very fast. We don't use any CDNs. You can check speed by just testing them, e.g. spin up a site here https://tastewp.com/new.
5) Yes, you'll be able to renew at the same (fantastic) conditions you get now - indefinitely.
6) The dashboard is only visible to you. If you want to give people access, please share the login details to the respective WP sites (or create user profiles for them).
7) If you have auto-updates enabled, it will work like on any other WP site.

I hope that answer it. If you have any other questions, please shoot!

Q: Very important technical issue!

Hello, I purchased level 2 for testing and I wonder if all the plugins on your website https://inisev.com/?utm_source=site_footer&utm_campaign=TSW&utm_medium=site are available to us or if they will be paid, and to what extent? This is important as there is no information on this topic. So we won't be disappointed later that we have to separately purchase each plugin for each site.
Best regards, Adalbert

A: Thank you for your question Adalbert!

The BackupBliss plugin - allowing you to create backups and migrate - is part of the deal, i.e., you'll get the premium version for it (please reach out to us after purchase of this AppSumo deal so that we can give you the license).

For the other Inisev products, those are separate, however as AppSumo user, maybe we can give you very special conditions. Just reach out to us at hi (at) tastewp (dot) com so that we can discuss. Thank you!

Q: Can we downgrade plans over time and receive pricing adjustments in line with offer?

Hello. I have an oddball question. I am actually moving away from WordPress, switching to content-first no-code builders such as Sheetany, but still have more WordPress websites to move, and this takes time. Depending on how things shake out, I might keep up a few WordPress websites. If I were to buy, say, tier 3, could I one day downgrade myself to tier 2 and then tier 1 and receive the $118 and $59 prices? Thank you kindly!

A: Thank you for your question! The tiers you purchase are valid for one year, so there’s no mid-year downgrading option. However, you can absolutely choose not to renew the same tier when the year ends. For example, if you buy Tier 3 now (which covers 9 sites), and in a year you only need it for 3 sites, you can simply renew at Tier 1 instead—at the same pricing and conditions you locked in with this offer. You’ll be able to renew at these special rates for as long as you keep your subscription active.

I hope that answers it. If not, please keep asking! :)
