Q: Why is this a good deal?
I currently use InstaWP so naturally I’m comparing this deal to that.
I paid $95 for 19 sites during their Black Friday sale (default price is $190), so that’s $5/site (or $10/site with no discount).
If I compare that with your Tier 6 plan, which is closest at 18 sites for $318.60, that’s around $18/site. In short, your “heavy discount” looks way worse than InstaWP’s default pricing.
At first I was excited thinking this would be a limited LTD offering (honestly it should be), but after seeing it’s just a discounted 1 year deal that seems way more expensive than InstaWP (which is also probably the best and most reputable among your competitors out there), this deal looks pretty weak and unappealing IMO.
Not sure why anyone would want this, unless I’m missing something.

Mar 31, 2025A: Thank you for your question. We’ll look into a deeper comparison with InstaWP, but just to give you a quick response for now: it seems their plan has several limitations, such as restricted migrations and, more importantly, only one live website included.
With our plan, you can assign custom domains to every site and make them all publicly accessible.
They also have a comparison page where they list TasteWP as less expensive — and that’s without even factoring in the AppSumo deal.
Beyond that, there are probably other differences as well, and it really comes down to personal needs and, well… taste! 😉

With all due respect, I just don't see the appeal. If I want hosting for custom domains, I'd rather go with a reputable hosting service — why would I opt for an infant TasteWP with all its limitations, especially for live sites :P
As others have stated, might wanna realign your USP to spinning up quick, temp test/staging sites for devs, demos, etc. — with a limited-time LTD here on AS, of course.

AppSumo limits responses, so in short: it’s high maintenance — e.g. when clients break their sites, we check what plugin caused it (not something most hosters do). Server costs are ongoing too, and people expect high uptime.
The offer’s actually strong: ~$1.60/site/month, and kind of lifetime since users can renew under the same conditions.

Thanks, Nick. I see you're set on your current business model and, while it doesn't align with what I'm looking for, I understand your point of view. Just wanted to offer my opinion and echo some of the common sentiments shared on this Q&A by other Sumolings, hoping that you might consider our feedback. Perhaps another time. Wish you all the best!
