Unusable at this state
At the current state, it is unusable.
When you send e-mails, it is sent in plain text. All that security they implement is for telios to telios users only. 99.999999% of the people won't be using telios, so at the current state, it is no safer than sending your e-mail via gmail.
The moment they upload your e-mail to a website, protected by password, expire date, etc, it will be much more private.
If telios can come up with a creative way people we e-mail can quickly check the mail we send privately and securely, the better. I've seen chrome extension that uses iframe or other methods. I've even seen an gmail extension that see the e-mail user is logged into and they can read the e-mail without needing a password. I have to say, password is annoying. If they can come up with ways to eliminate it, that would be great!

May 14, 2024Sending encrypted emails outside of Telios is a feature we plan on implementing. Essentially a plain text email with a private link to your encrypted email will be sent to the recipient(s).
Even without this feature, your data is still more secure and private than other email providers because none of your plain text data sits on our servers.
