Testimonial Hunt Reviews

This app is not ready for prime time, and it surprises me that Appsumo offered this tool.

After initial setup, I tried to login only to find the site would not load. While support did reply that there were server issues, and the tool will now load, my testimonial links still return 404 errors.

I cannot find a way to remove 'powered by testimonial hunt' despite that being included in the Tier 3 offer I purchased. The only 'branding' options I can find are to add my company name and logo. Despite attempting to upload my logo several times in several file formats, it never seems to save (if I exist the 'branding' page and return later the logo disappears) or display anywhere on the testimonial page.

I frequently see an error notification when changing screens: "Error, something went wrong. Please try again." There is no indication of what the error is.

Overall, the interface is very basic, the features seem very limited, and I don't think this is the type of tool AppSumo should be offering.

I thought this might be the one. It does a lot of things nicely.

I really like the fact that it gives you nice vanity URLs rather than some long hash.

You can download your videos.

I discovered, though, that the Published state seems to be on by default, and that it cannot be toggled off. So the only way to unpublish a review is by deleting it. I suspect this is a bug that will be worked out.

You don't seem to have the ability to control redirect after a user records a video. They get sent to Testimonial Hunt's website.

You have the ability to import any tweet or any post from Trustpilot, which are nice features.

There are social media icons on the wall, but there doesn't seem to be any way to configure them.

Overall, it's solid and usable, but there are some rough edges.

I think I'm probably going with Vidmonials, though Video Touch is really good and a third the price.

I just purchased this app after having tried two others. I was impressed with the ease with which someone can create a video testimonial. No muss, no fuss. I think this aspect alone is essential, given how difficult it is to obtain video testimonials in the first place. There's a lot to be excited about here. The value for the price paid is just fantastic. I can see the need for a few other features in this app, but I am happy as is. Well done. An easy five tacos!
