Q: I am trying out TexAu and it's great so far.
A few questions:
1. If I use the Desktop App (Mac) I do not need proxies at all?
2. Why even have the Cloud version if question 1 is true?
3. What makes TexAu different from ScrapeBox?
4. How much storage space do we get for saved results (per code/tier)?

Just a quick answer, hope you don't mind it's not from an "official" side:
1. In any automation proxies are used to hide your real IP and/or (like a VPN), fake your geolocation. This is independent of desktop or cloud usage. If you want to work with multiple accounts, proxies are a must. If you want to do stuff as if you were in France, but you are in Germany, proxies are a must.
If you only have a couple of accounts and everything is say US based, you don't need proxies, neither for desktop nor for cloud.
2. Cloud is independent of any physical computer. If you go on a hike you can still operate from your mobile phone, if you travel to Thailand from a cafe in Bangkok.
3. Scrapebox is a universal scraper for things public on the web. The stuff that you can see from an anonymous browser window without being logged in anywhere. In social media that is barely nothing. Besides, Scrapebox has a much steeper learning curve. A more comparable scraper would be Zennoposter, But both are general purpose tools while TexAu is tailored to certain platforms.
4. I found that in the original packages offered on the TexAu website, but of course can't say whether this holds for AppSumo codes, too.
