Still not sure about the value
I purchased almost 60 days ago, so I'm trying to decide whether to keep this or not. All the reviewers are gushing about how great this tool is -- and I'm super happy that it's working for them.
In my case, I honestly haven't found the value in this -- although for $49, I'm probably going to keep it to see what happens down the line.
At first I was excited to download all the members of some Facebook groups and then use those to create a custom audience. Sounded awesome! Unfortunately, you can download the members but you can't use the list to create a custom audience. Vikram says that they are working on making this happen, but it's unclear if that is even possible -- due to FB restrictions.
So is there any other benefit from downloading the group members? I guess I can manually visit each profile (the profile link is provided) -- but with thousands of profiles that's quite a task. But it is possible, so there is some value here.
There's also a spice that is supposed to message people on FB. So I guess I could use the group list to spam them all -- but that doesn't seem like a good path to take for obvious reasons. I could also manually go through the profiles and create targeted lists of users and then try to use the message spice to send more targeted messages -- which hopefully will be less "spammy". The truth is I haven't tested the send message spice, so I can't say if and how it works.
The google maps extractors sounded really interesting -- being able to scrape the first 10 pages of google map results. But you only can get the company name and url -- with no contact info, so while it's useful to get that data in a spreadsheet, the next step is a lot of manual work again...
My thought was to use the Extract Email spice to go through all the urls from the maps extractor. But when I tested the email extractor with a couple of my own URLs, I got ziltch (that means zero results). I'm pretty sure I'm using it correctly, since all you need to do is type a url into the field and hit run.
Regarding the Linkedin spices, I've used dux-soup in the past and have been very satisfied with it -- so I'm not going to mess around with this tool and possibly get banned from Linkedin, to save a few bucks. I feel more comfortable using a tool that is exclusively dedicated to Linkedin.
I can't address any of the other spices since I haven't used them. They might be awesome. For my B2B prospecting purposes, I'm struggling to find a really compelling value proposition.
The documentation on the site could be a lot better. For example, when you use the maps extractor, you have to do it while searching on a google.com/maps page and NOT on google.com. I found that out myself, via trial and error. These things should be documented. They also need to include more examples and case studies to guide you as to how to use spices. For example, I still have no idea how the FB messaging spice is supposed to work (I guess I need to test it to find out).
