I've used 2 or 3 products I thought were the same as Thundercontent.
But my first post was on my core topic (e-learning).
I've written at least 150 characters and magic appeared quickly with a monitoring on the right panel.
That's it, just to export in the right format: pdf, html5, txt...

Our company has already tested several tools to write texts using AI. Most of them we have only tested and then never used - not even to produce new ideas. We haven't fully tested Thundercontent yet, but the first attempts are absolutely promising. The tool delivers good content quickly. And this is despite the fact that we produce texts for specific subject areas.

We won't have texts published directly by such tools, but are currently simply following the technological development of such tools and will only use them now and then to generate ideas or a rough version.

But as far as we can see, the generated texts - in German - are excellent. And the historical facts mentioned therein are not bad (although we advise to always check all facts) and they are definitely inspiring and sometimes even surprising (in a positive sense).

As far as we can see, the tool currently allows to create larger content only in small steps. Always a few sentences and then you generate a few sentences again (one click after another). This also has its advantages. Because as soon as the AI steers the topic in an unwanted direction, you can delete the sentence and the AI looks for a new aspect. This all happens quite fast and within a short time a longer, good text is created.

So our recommendation: buy it. Unlimited. Because only then the big fun begins. If Thundercontent continues like this, it will definitely be one of the great tools on the market. We are of course looking forward to AI audio, which hopefully will be offered here on Appsumo. Anyway: 5 tacos - and this is the first time we're awarding them to an AI writing tool.

I have a few AI writers already and occasionally use them for inspiration on business articles and fun.
ThunderContent looked interesting, especially with the generous (non-)limits. Has a good website as well.
I tried it out on an test article - blog style.

Verdict: it works, easy to learn, output is usable, waiting time after each AI activity 6 seconds, which disturbs the „flow“ sometimes. Generally a bit raw and definitely no match for the market leaders in terms of functionality … but significantly cheaper. Might be a low budget alternative for many.

I had to generate intros, titles, outlines and paragraph content mostly 2-4 times to get something, what was good enough to use. The „generate Content Button“ adds text to the cursor point, which usually very well builds on the previous sentences.
With that I generated a meaningful and sufficiently well structured blog style text of almost 700 words in a bit more than 30 min. I can export the text in various formats.
I went: Enter topic , generate title, generate outline, generate intro (expand on intro) and for each paragraph: Generate Paragraph (expand several times on paragraph), change a few words manually, done.
Great: many languages available.

What’s not so good:
No SEO, focus on long form only, not much content configuration for texts possible (you practically click try and error to your content - maybe I missed something there), no “conclusion” format (only intro and paragraph), text editor is inconveniently very basic, no selection of writing tone and no explicit “instruct” option.

All in all a valid but basic low cost option for usable, unlimited long form writing.
For the time being, a 4 star. You seem to get a good product for the price. Not more but not less either. Let’s see what the future brings. It has a very interesting, unique roadmap (videos, pictures), there are templates in the roadmap and you can integrate TTS from the same provider (alas, no LTD there).

The tier2 deal offer terms mention unlimited users in unlimited workspace with unlimited AI credit. But the reality is that there is only one main account having unlimited credits. The main account can create unlimited workspaces with each workspace allowing 1000 collaborators to be invited. You cant create users but you can invite email addresses to become your collaborators on these workspaces. When these email addresses are used to join the workspaces where they have been invited, a new user account is created for the email id with free tier subscription attached (currently 500 words limit). These users can then edit documents in those workspaces apart from having their own workspaces in their own free tier account. There is no way to extend the unlimited credit of the main account to these other accounts invited into the workspaces created under the main account. So these accounts wont have any AI credits beyond the trial credits unless those email ids are also used for claiming another appsumo tier 2 account. Without that, only thing these accounts can do is to collaborate on the docs created in the workspace by the main account, but only as normal editors without any AI assistance.

The AI itself is a good true long form AI that keeps on writing on its own from the last sentence, as you manually keep hitting the generate content button. As a true long form AI it deserves the price tag. So 1 taco for that.

UI is very clean and the UX is a very easy learning curve. Hence 2 tacos for that.

Removing 1 taco for the unclear offer terms that does not clarify that the unlimited users dont have premium credits. Removing another taco for lack of roadmap commitment to LTD users, which means that the essential new features in future such as more short forms and SEO research, may simply not be available to LTD users, making the tool less usable. It has been observed in other AI tools that such features get so much integrated by the platform, that the tool can not be used properly without them.

Unfortunately, the founder, Paul, is very difficult to communicate with. He's been asked directly many times about the 'unlimited users' on Tier 2, and he refuses to answer.

I bought Tier 2, as it clearly states you get 'unlimited users and unlimited words.' However, those unlimited users you can add are all put on a FREE plan, which means that although you can invite an unlimited number of people to join your team, they are all on the free plan and you are the only one with 'unlimited words.'

I would have said, 'well, maybe it's just bad wording,' but even after directly asking Paul about what plan our users have and how many words can they generate per month he just copies and pastes a canned response that doesn't even answer the question.

PROS:

1. It does seem to have decent output sometimes.

2. Nice UI.

CONS:

1. 'Unlimited users' are all on their FREE plan.

2. You have to wait 10 seconds between generating content. That would be ok, except instead of just waiting for the 10 seconds to pass and then it automatically goes through, you have to keep clicking 'generate' to try again. Seems it would be MUCH nicer if you hit the generate button once, and then it just waited the 10 seconds to start generating instead of having to keep clicking it to see if it's been 10 seconds yet.

3. The founder seems unable (or maybe unwilling) to answer any questions with direct answers. And it's not just on here, I had the same experience reaching out through chat on their site. Very frustrating.

4. As of right now you can't delete workspaces that you create. Maybe that's something coming in the future, but it's really annoying not to be able to delete workspaces or organize them in any way.

And for the record, I've bought many, many GPT-3 tools here on AppSumo, and out of all of them except one I've been highly impressed. Thunder Content underwhelms and it seems like the deal terms need to make it clear that all the 'unlimited users' included in Tier 2 are only given FREE accounts.

The tool seems promising, according to the tests, it works reasonably well, the support always mentions ready-made answers, in addition to the somewhat obscure terms of the agreement, which use unlimited users if they do not have any autonomy of creation, it's like having a thousand soldiers without no weapons, that is, totally unnecessary.

Also, even after viewing the message asking about it, there was no response, neither that it would be updated or that it wouldn't, and a response here was obtained. So, if that's how it is initially, how will it be in a while.

Stay alert.

Waiting for an answer from support about this, because here in the questions everyone understood differently, in this case we can re-evaluate or ask for a refund.
