For years, I used Clocker, an open-source menu bar clock app, to keep track of time zones while working with a global team. It solved a real problem for me, and it became one of the inspirations for Time. I wanted to explore the same idea with a different approach: something that felt more at home on modern macOS, with a native interface that blends naturally into the menu bar and the rest of the system. So I built Time from scratch in SwiftUI. From there, I added features I wanted in my own workflow, including the Time Scroller for previewing times across multiple locations, day and night visualization for quickly seeing who is likely awake, and calendar integration for viewing upcoming meetings and joining Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams calls with one click. I also wanted Time to stay simple and privacy-focused. Calendar data stays on your Mac, there is no tracking, and the app is sold as a one-time purchase rather than another subscription.
