I use descript to remove filler words and word gaps. I would consider leaving descript to timebolt but you would have to have filler words auto detect and remove feature. I realize that is a huge ask as you would have to automate "detect" or translate the script of the video, and then search for those detected filler words to remove them. Nice tool nonetheless!
A: We are working on tech that detects about 70% so far of the um's, without the need to charge for transcriptions and stay desktop. Thank you for the feedback!

@Doug_Timebolt, I was about to post a question on this feature. Apart from silence removal, the next biggest need is the "UMs" and "UHs" and such lol... and/or showing those filler words on the audio timeline so that we quickly go to those and delete.
Also, if there was a feature click and drag the scrubber to select areas for deletion, that would be awesome.
Thank you, Anil
Q: Woo.
I'm surprised to see TimeBolt in Appsumo for $129 USD. I paid $249 for the same deal a while ago.
A lot of people don't understand what TimeBolt does. It does one thing and does it well, cut dead silence or it could speed up during dead silence.
If you missed Wisecut on Appsumo then is your big opportunity. Is a software you download to your computer (Mac or Windows) and you don't have limitations like you'll find on Wisecut or Pictory.
A: We appreciate your business and your money goes directly into new product features (vs server costs)...and of course two guy who pay apartment rent :) Thank you for sharing your story and honored for your business! -- Doug & Quinston
My pleasure Doug. Love your platform and the least that I could do for other video creators is sharing my experience wit TimeBolt. Keep up the good work.
@solesky, $129? I see $180. Was the price $129 and then increased to $180?
Q: "2.
This AppSumo deal is not advertised by TimeBolt. We look to remove the listing in 120 days."
I am not sure what this means ?
Also, I think we would love to have some clarity as to what "plan" or level of product we are buying because it would suck if we get stuck with only half the product.
ok, this means that purchasing this will always give is the best version of Timebolt ?
Q: Hi,
It worked very well for a day but later I have this issues.
1) When I click on rendering, it shows now that an error occured. 2) Today I got a popup that an update is available but the popup is not clickable. There is no update in the settings too. 3)When I click on manage account and eneter my email, it says that the email does not match the mail with which the product was purchased. 4) Clicking on Help forwards to your website but that link is broken. It says timebolt.io sent an invalid responce.
A: Sorry you're having issues: 1. Manage your account here: https://timebolt.onfastspring.com/account 2. Pls submit support ticket with a screen share of your issue and raw file we can test with open links: https://timebolt.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/
A: TimeBolt at this time cannot stitch videos together. You can stack jobs in the render Q and XML export is instant. Settings maintain so it's essentially a drag and drop.
Trust bulk editing is high on our priority list, and the idea is to take a folder of clips, apply the same settings to all, and then start the export of xml that can then be dropped into an NLE like Resolve and compiled.
Q: How many different devices can this be installed on?
And how many concurrent sessions, or no limit? Most of us have more than 1 computer we work on, so having this installed on multiple devices makes sense.
Will this work in Hebrew or is this just for English? if currently only english - any plans / ETA for Hebrew? 2. I understand that this is a standalone editor, correct? 3. Download quality: say I uploaded a 4k video in 30K bitrate with 320kbps audio quality. Do all of these remains in the same quality when I download the new version of the video after the editing? 4. Other than the timeline editor, is it possible to cut/trim by words (similar to Descript)? 5. Any plans on creating subtitles / captions (or at least integrate with other tools that does it, such as Happyscribe)?
Ok sounds good. Just a clarification regarding #4, what I meant is - in Descript you could cut/trim the video based on the spoken text. So it basically understands all of the words from the video, show it to you as a text form and allow you to cut out words / sentences / entire paragraphs you don't want to be in.
Do you offer something similar, or is your solution just based on the audio waves (hence allowing just to trim/cut silence only)?
Thanks!
Q: We are now testing an integration to export Camtasia's TSCPROJ file from TimeBolt.
A: Not sure about Screenflow. You may test the same method used for Camtasia which is 'Export Clips'. It drops all rendered clips in sequence into a folder you specify, and can be dropped into Camtasia / iMovie. The clips don't have drag handle control as they do in XML. But cuts are delineated, and can include speed up silences as well.
Q: Hello I wanted to know is there a limit on how many machines that i can use your desktop application?
I have a Imac, PC and laptop that I use for various reasons for editing different things Ideally 3-5 machines would be perfect.
Also, does Timebolt support loading multi-audio tracks or editing? I usually separate all audio recordings to their own track for easier editing and i find it better if I want to repurpose old recordings. Ex. would be myself and a guest are on their own audio track. or my voice, game and party chat are all on separate channels but all apart of the same overall recording.
A: - One key works on up to two machines. Based on concurrent logins. - Yes, multi-track audio supported if contained in MP4 file or WAV. We recommend WAV audio only file vs mp3
I have 2 follow ups to this: 1. Does this mean that I can have the app installed in more than 2 machines so long as I only use it concurrently in 2? I'm asking considering the situation where I replace my laptop... If there's no tie up of the license to where I initially had it installed, then there should be no issue in installing on a replacement machine since the old installation will never be used again, right? 2. Does it mean that I can share my license with a hired freelancer (VA) such that both of us can work simultaneously on 2 different workloads with each of us running an instance of the software in his own machine?

Q: Regarding working on multiple clips on the same time you said "TimeBolt at this time cannot stitch videos together.
You can stack jobs in the render Q and XML export is instant. Settings maintain so it's essentially a drag and drop."
1) What do you mean "You can stack jobs in the render Q"? By "Q" do you mean "queue"?
2) How do I stack jobs?
Doug_Timebolt
May 14, 2024A: if you render the finished video in TimeBolt, while one job is processing you can work on another, then add it to the Queue.
XML is so fast this feature won't matter.
You just can't select a folder of videos and generate XML files for them in bulk at this time
Share TimeBolt
Q: Hi, How would I use timebolt with an editor that you don't natively export to (ie filmora)?
How would that process work?
Doug_Timebolt
May 14, 2024A: Filmora doesn't do XML. At this time you'd render the cut video in TimeBolt then use the MP4 in Filmora
Share TimeBolt
Q: I know you've mentioned this in other comments but I just wanted to clarify, -Can you add mulitple small ...
clips at the same time and cut out the dead air for the all the video clips at the same time, and then export them all together?
Or do we have to cut out the dead for each of the small clips one at a time and assemble them in another editor like davinci resolve?

Can I edit a video that is more than 4gb?

May 14, 2024A: 1. Language agnostic. Based on audio waveforms.
2. TimeBolt is not a design editor.
3. If you export to an NLE yes. TimeBolt does not render lossless.
4. Cut or keep any part of the timeline, super fast.

Correct...only instances where you are logged in count. You and your freelancer can have an instance open at the same time.
