Very elegant time tracker

Very very elegant time tracker, compared with Timming, Timemator or else app.

I especially like it showed when I started working and slepp, and it emphasised my time when I'm heavily on a task.

Good time tracker

I love the fact that it comes with a native macos app.

Pros:
+ easy to setup
+ supports ARC browser
+ works well
+ Daily notes feature - when you can track your objectives and easily review them after a week by browsing each day

Cons
- AI tracking works so so - it identifies my job tasks as a entertainment (for example seeking financial information on the internet)

Would be nice to have
- ability to manually add tasks (sometimes there is a job to do without a computer) - ideally maybe you could make an ios app that compliments the desktop app and syncs between them?
- ability to change decisions of AI tracker - for example move financial sites to work instead of distraction
- having daily reports, weekly reports and montly reports based on ticked / unticked stuff from daily notes and the data from tracker.

Overall, it helps me to stay more productive - it was a good buy.

Very responsive and smooth but..

This app UI is super clean, it runs very smoothly and just looks amazing. Overall setting it up was a breeze and Im happy to say that it's beautifully developed to MacOS.

After running for while I have found both pros and cons.

Pros
-Like I said this app runs so optimally and smoothly on M1 MacBook Pro. Just beautiful
-Also the interface is clean and after while I got hang of the whole software
-It gives very granular tracking for all the sites you visit and spend time. Very helpful to really follow what you have spend your time during the day
- In activities, you can simply click the url and go back to site you visited. Could be helpful in some cases.
-Overall a time tracking app which is privacy aware and runs without internet access on your Mac - Beatiful!

Cons
-Biggest drawback for me was daily notes. I hoped that typing some notes during the day or project would save for me to inspect later but no. I can follow the time tracked but not for example the tasks what I added and completed in daily notes. Very disappointing, I do not understand what is the daily notes function without ability to review them later. Also would be nice to export them later.
-Inability to export the tracked data.
-Lack of iOS app or ability to track iPhone usage thru Screen Time. As Mac user, I jump between iPhone and Mac and helpful to have both data to really get realistic view of time usage

Thank you so much for your review and feedback.

Absolutely, we're looking into enhancing the notes section. It's primarily designed for jotting down your daily goals in the morning and reflecting on what you've accomplished by the evening. This helps boost both your productivity and mental well-being. It's not really intended for tracking to-do lists or logging time. To see your notes from...

Promising Time Tracker

I will admit that I am a sucker for productivity apps and am really enjoying using TimeMaster so far. I have used a heap of similar apps to this and while this isn’t a powerhouse, it is a very solid early stage contender.

Pro’s so far:

Modern and pleasant to use AI.
- Low memory footprint regardless of whether it is in the foreground or background.
- Tracks all activities as accurately as others I have used like Rize and Rescuetime. (Rize did not do this as well straight out of the gate.)
- Founder seems very capable, open and committed to making it a success. The app seems to be very nicely made and modern.
- Has been set up to require almost no configuration. I also have used “Timing” which is a wonderful app in it’s own right but requires a lot of user classification and set up to get working. This is basically good to go out of the box.

Con’s

- There is an issue at the moment where Arc browser is not tracked as granularly as Chrome. Apparently a fix is on the way in the next few days though.
- Interface while great could be further refined for productivity to make it amazing.
- No cross device tracking, mobile apps or PC / linux support. (Although I as a Mac user I selfishly don’t mind if the focus is on that platform and we all know deep down that PC are the beta race these days lol). On the flip side, while tracking everything would be great, I am ok if it just makes me more productive at my Mac at the moment.
- Not as feature rich as something like Rize at present.

My advice to prospective purchasers:

If you don’t have a similar app to track your time and activities, this will work just fine out of the box and I think it’s well worth the investment as is. At the very least you will have something that tracks time well and pretty accurately. If you have something like Rize you are probably covered unless you are looking for something simple and lightweight in a good way. This is still early stages compared to Rize but much earlier in it’s journey.

My advice to the founder:

You have a very good foundation for an amazing productivity app. If you keep on the track of making it simple and pleasant to use while integrating modern productivity principles that a lot of freelancers, knowledge workers and creatives desire you have the potential to build something truly amazing here. A lot of this community will have great suggestions but stick to the vision of what you want to build and don't try to implement absolutely everything if it doesn't fit with that vision. Best of luck with the launch!

Thank you so much for your detailed review and kind words about TimeMaster. As you know, we are still in the early beta phase, and we're focusing on adding more features and refinements in the coming days. All the major research and development is completed, and we'll be able to add new features quickly.

Also, I'm super excited to inform you that we've added the Arc browser support in TimeMaster...
