Q: Double-Optin HOW?
I apologize for being persistent, but I don't feel like my concern is being taken seriously.
If double-Optin is not implemented, anyone can register another person for a newsletter *without their consent*. As the sender of the newsletter, I may inadvertently send spam without realizing it.

Similar services such as sendinblue, mailchimp, zargo and also selzy do offer the possibility for double-optIn. How can this be done in TinyEmail?

May 14, 2024A: Hey julian430,
You are right to make sure your understanding of tinyEmail is clear. And thank you for sharing the article as well. From a GDPR perspective it is not just about a double opt-in form it is about a clear line of explicit consent (meaning they really meant to sign up) vs implied consent (meaning someone is assuming they meant to sign up). And GDPR wants to see explicit consent.
If you are looking for a form with a checkbox that is something we can have ready by end-of-month? This is in our road map. Will this work for you?
If you are looking for a double opt-in form that will take us more time

That is good news that checkboxes are coming, thank you. That will help with my customer newsletter, which does not require double optin.
I will wait for the double optin though and use an intermediate solution to collect e-mails in a newsletter form.
Hey julian430,
Thanks for your feedback. There will be a notification when the checkbox feature is available in forms.
Have a great rest of your week,

4 month later I wanted to ask if the checkbox and the double optin feature are under development?
I see you add some trendy AI functionality and automations for Shopify only - but some basic features for an e-mail syervice are still missing. Are they coming?
