How come that the service still misses double-optin for the subscription form.

How come that the service still misses double-optin for the subscription form. This makes this part of the service unusable in many countries. The website is great and talks about legal issues, but this important feature is still missing. I like the dashboard and the feature, but I cannot really implement the service right now and start to be really disappointed. Creating new inactive users and sending a welcome letter with an activation link is a simple way to implement it.

    Hey julian430,
I am assuming you are asking if the forms help you stay GDPR compliant (and similar compliance) standards? The good news is our forms follow all the best practices for collecting marketing information and the tinyEmail product and built in processes help you remain complaint.

As an email service provider, we are committed to ensuring our services fully comply with the GDPR.

I will outline the key measures we have implemented to adhere to the regulation's requirements and protect our users' personal data below:

Consent Management: We have designed our platform to require explicit, informed consent from users before they can be added to any email marketing list.

Transparency and Privacy Policy: Our privacy policy clearly outlines how we collect, process, and store personal data, the purposes for which we use the data, and the rights users have under GDPR. We regularly review and update our policy to maintain its accuracy and relevance.

Data Minimization and Retention: We collect and process only the personal data required for our email marketing services and store it securely for no longer than necessary. Our data retention policy is aligned with GDPR guidelines to ensure compliance.

Security Measures: We have implemented robust technical and organizational security measures to protect user data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include encryption, access controls, and regular security audits from third-party auditors.

Data Subject Rights: Our platform is designed to enable users to easily exercise their rights under GDPR, such as the right to access, rectify, erase, or restrict the processing of their personal data. We have established efficient procedures to respond to data subject requests promptly.

Data Protection Impact Assessments: When necessary, we conduct DPIAs to assess the risks associated with our email marketing activities and implement appropriate measures to mitigate these risks.

Vendor Compliance: We carefully select and monitor our third-party vendors to ensure they comply with GDPR requirements, thereby maintaining a secure and compliant data processing environment.

Staff Training: Our employees receive regular training on GDPR and data protection best practices to ensure that they are fully aware of their responsibilities and the importance of protecting personal data.

We aim to provide our users with a secure, transparent, and GDPR-compliant email service by implementing these measures.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding our compliance efforts, please do not hesitate to contact Vitalie at vitalie@tinyemail.com He is the CTO of the tinyEmail Corporation and acting DPO in the company.

I hope this helps address your worries about GDPR.

    >> Consent Management: We have designed our platform to require explicit, informed consent from users before they can be added to any email marketing list.<<

Can you please outline how to create a subscription form which
    1) contains a check box which must be selected if the user agrees to the privacy agreement (that shoule be a link)
    2) an e-mail is automatically sent to the user (who just filled out the form) which contains a link which the user must click to activate the subscription

The two elements are required for correct and legal subscription here in Germany.

Thank You, this is really important for me.
