I was excited to find this offer as I like the ability to transcribe some of my audio lessons and research interviews.
I like that apart from uploading the audios/videos, I can input a url.
I've found this Software to be "user unfriendly" (I'm comparing it to a similar Appsumo offer that I got some years back and which I love).
1. It does not automatically save any changes I make. If I don't ask it to save, I lose my changes if anything happens. In my testing, even after continuously saving, it did not actually save, and I lost the edits when the site had some issue.
2. It's terribly difficult (and slow, and frustrating) to edit the transcripts. Really, really FRUSTRATING! I don't understand why it would be designed in such a way that you can only edit one word at a time. Seriously!!! Come on! As if that's not enough, I cannot create my own paragraphs - the program decides where those should be, even if it doesn't make sense to me (the user). Editing the speakers’ names/identities is also a pain... In my case, it decided there were 3 speakers whereas there were only 2. Trying to change that was so difficult, I gave up and decided it would be faster to do offline. In fact, I think it would generally be faster to edit the transcript offline than on the platform, which beats the purpose of getting this offer. If I cannot easily edit my transcript, then I don't see why I should keep this. I was so frustrated by the end of my attempt to edit my 1-hour long transcript, I was ready to return and get a refund.
3. Related to editing the transcript, it didn't seem possible to play the recording while editing the transcript (like I can on the other Appsumo transcription offer, which has been a joy to use).
4. When I tried downloading the transcript, I couldn't see any option to download as a Word document, which is what I prefer. There was just TXT and some other version (I think SRT).

I was excited to be getting many transcription hours (the one limitation of the other Appsumo offer). However, I'm now not too sure this is a good investment. If I can't easily work on my transcripts, the extra transcription hours won't matter, because I won't want to use this product. The creators should learn from the other transcription service (HS) and build a more user-friendly platform.
