Good app but very misleading AppSumo promise
This is a no-brainer if you're building an app (or web site) that you want to translate into multiple languages. However, there are some disappointing characteristics:
1. This DOES NOT INCLUDE ANY AI TRANSLATION. It simply lets you add your key for various AI translation services, so you'll pay for those separately through the various providers.
2. They are still offering GPT-3 and not GPT-4, even though GPT-4 is available now. (The others are DeepL, Google Translate, and Microsoft Translator.)
3. You get a randomly assigned Company name and subdomain, which you can change, but you can only change the subdomain ONCE. What if you mistype it by accident? What if you realize a week later that you made a bad choice? What if the company name you are planning to use turns out to have some trademark issue? If there is really some need to place a limit on this, why not limit it to one change per month?
Problem number 1 is BY FAR the biggest, since we were promised an app that "includes machine translations". This does no such thing! Instead it includes the ability to connect to a machine translation API. That's useful, but not what was promised.
Besides these issues, the app seems very nice so far. I'm very disappointed, but I'm still glad to have it, and I'm sure it will save me lots of time, even if using it will turn out to cost me much more than I was expecting.
I would gladly have given this app 5 tacos if I had not been mislead. Perhaps it was the AppSumo team who wrote the misleading text.

1. First, let's clarify expectations. We have developed a product to facilitate software localization and it provides various tools. One of them is AI-powered translations. It is not possible for us to provide this for free, as all the services we support are subject to additional charges. 2. GPT-3 is a really solid model for language translations and very cheap. It has a pricing of 750 words for $0.002. The only reason we don't support GPT-4 is that there is no clear difference in language translations and it is expensive. Otherwise it takes less than 5 minutes for us to integrate GPT-4 into the system. But it is not necessary.
3. This is not a problem that cannot be solved when it occurs. You can always write to support if you have problems. But since you already have White-label in your package, you can use it by redirecting your own domain.
So, to summarize, the product offers everything it promises, it explains it in its documentation, but unfortunately people buy it without researching it and expect it on their own. If we didn't explain these things, I would agree, but unfortunately, in this case, you have unfairly reduced points.
