They take your money and leave

Tribe was quite awesome. When the move was made to bettermode, they completely left LTDs behind... I really hope that Google's SEO picks up and these bad reviews of bettermode. A simple feature as the possibility to choose your language (languages that have been translated by sumolings!) has now been removed from the deal making the app unusable in some territories. Customer service totally doesn't care. My only advice is to keep away from bettermode and to be careful when investing in an LTD.

So much for LTD's.

Can you give zero tacos? Tride (not Bettermode) had real potential. I was excited to build a community and it had the features (promised) I needed. The LTD had "ALL content types" including Q&A, Long form, discussions, polls, short posts. As with more and more AppSumo LTDs, after a year, they rebranded, called the tool something new and basically removed all the features. They claim to have communicated this during the migration but more than one user on this page has also has said they didn't know.

The migration to the new name/product also had them making it next to impossible to contact support. And if you post about this topic in their forum, they just delete the post with no explantation, no communication to the person, nothing. Nice customer service. I reached out for more than a week to them with no response. Finally they email me back and told me that its pretty much a useless deal now for AppSumo users. but hey, you can upgrade to a monthly fee plan to get those features back.

I think I'm done with AppSumo LTD's....

Upgrade to V2 removed original deal functionalities

Recently they upgraded appsumo lifetime accounts to V2 platform.
I lost long-form article capability. (and potentially more functions from the deal that I haven't checked)
The "contact support" option is no longer available and posting about this issue in the support forum gets deleted.
As the platform grows its customer base, they just disregard the previously promised functionality to the early adopters without an explanation.
Not a happy camper here....

Left Behind

They upgraded to version 2.0 approximately a year ago, and everyone is able to move to the new platform, except for Appsumo customers. I was really excited about this offer, but every time someone asks when will they allow us to upgrade we receive a generic response with no ETA. Basically, we're left twiddling our thumbs with no guarantee that we will be able to upgrade anytime soon. I posted a comment in their support community addressing this situation, but, mysteriously, it was removed. Version 1 is a good product, but this is useless as a lifetime deal if we're stuck at 1.0 and if it no longer receives updates.

Good platform, but AppSumo customers are lost

The V1 version of the platform is very good, but they want to migrate to V2. With this step, the AppSumo customers seem to be left behind, although they state it otherwise in their support community. I posted questions about how and when AppSumo customers will get info about the migration because 8 months ago they wrote they will migrate AppSumo customers. My posting with my questions got deleted within hours. My impression is they just want to abandon AppSumo customers and not offer them the V2 version of the platform. In addition, I think that my assumption is correct since the V2 version is probably ready since Q2 2021. I also tried to ask my questions via email but I simply got ignored by them and never got an answer.
