I have a few EU clients and figured it was time to get GDPR compliant. Got Truendo and was pleasantly surprised. In my experience most "compliance" based anything in life is a miserable experience. Truendo was not that at all. Super easy to setup. I was able to add my site, design my banner, and install in roughly 5 minutes. And it worked right away. About as painless as it gets.

Truendo is great

I am setting up a lot of WordPress sites for people these days. These are for USA-based businesses, but the concept of getting into legal trouble because of GDPR really bothers me.

I had bought several AppSumo codes for another website compliance platform about 18 months ago, but their support of many common WordPress plugins and services, not to mention the complexity, left a lot to be desired. So I just ignored the need for protection.

As I was looking through the Expiring Soon LTDs here on AppSumo, I saw Truendo, which caught my eye, since I had given up on the other platform, I still needed to deploy a privacy compliance solution on all of my sites.

I pulled the trigger on Tier 3 and set up a couple of sites with the WordPress plugin and got them set up in two different Truendo Organizations. It was all going great. And then! I realized that I had used my personal debit card to make the purchase. The wife (bookkeeper) wasn't going to be very happy. So I reluctantly removed all of the websites from the Organizations, changed the account email address and refunded my purchase.

BUT, I wasn't done with Truendo. The next day, I repurchased Tier 3 with my business card before the extended Plus access expired. By this second go-round, I knew how to get everything up and running even more quickly-- something I could have never done with the other solution.

The ease in which I had a branded banner on my sites was exactly as promised.

Short-term Caveats:
1) The UI/UX isn't the most imtuitive when setting up Organizations, websites and adding Team members. I read in the Q&A section that they were working on this in the near-term. It's not that much of a problem and still easier than the competition.

2) Management of Organizations: When you create the second Organization, it does not appear to have been added to the list of Organizations. So you try again, and again. After creating my second Organization the third time, I logged out and back in to discover 4 Organizations. Three of which were the same name which were not appearing after creating them. I just renamed two of them. DELETE, so I would know to avoid going into them. BUT!

3) There is no way to actually delete an Organization. Even if there are no sub-users or websites within the org, there seems to be no option to remove unneeded Organizations. That is why I renamed them to DELETE. I wanted them to go away, but couldn't.

This was all learned the first time I set up Truendo. So when the same disappearing act happened upon creating my second Organization with my second purchase, I knew that I needed to log out and in again to have access to the new Organization. But if I decided I no.longer wanted thst Organization, I couldn't get rid of it.

I realize these are probably edge-cases and the anomalies didn't detract from the ease and usefulness of the product offering and the generosity of the 25 Sites and 2.5M shared visitors.

I appreciate the Truendo team bringing this deal to AppSumo.

I’ve been playing and setting up my WP sites with numerous GDPR/Cookie consent plugins but never satisfied. When Truendo appeared here on AS I didn’t wait long to test it out. I think that I finally found a solution for myself and my clients!
It’s easy to implement, customer support works well too, and what I really liked they’re able to add a service using cookies on your website quickly, so it gives peace of mind staying compliant.

Definitely a must for any website owner. Highly recommended!

We where stuck with the absurd tools and complex price scheme of the main competitor - maybe IU know who I mean ;-). TRUENDO was a breath of fresh air for us and for our clients. we bought a TIER 3 even though we didn't need it but just to say Thank you for your outstanding work.

It's very awesome how easy it would be to create an GDPR compliant cookie-banner.
I also love the option to rescan the domain after adding some new features.
