I tested TubeSift to find YouTube Ad placements, but the relevancy of the results needs to be better.
Yes, it is better than Biteplay, but that is a low bar at 0 tacos (in my opinion) since it has poor UI, and the data it pulled could have been faster and more relevant. TubeSift is at least faster and has a better UI, but the percentage of pertinent video placements should be higher for a tool that has been on the market for a while. I manually edited my list of placements from TubeSift more than I should have to eliminate placements that would hurt my Instream video ad campaigns. Some will say this is a harsh review, but after buying over 100 deals on AppSumo, I expect tools to be very polished.

Jun 13, 2024Thanks for the feedback and I would like to start by saying that your review should probably be about the YouTube Algorithm and not about TubeSift because we get our data directly from YouTube based off of exactly what you search.
Here is why...
We pull our data directly from Google/YouTube API so if you are searching for a specific search term the exact videos you find in TubeSift show up on YouTube. We have zero control of what YouTube decides to put at the top of the search results and sure do not have control over what order they show up.
I'd recommend you change up your search terms if you aren't finding relevant videos.
Again, we do not control the YouTube Algorithm and therefore don't have control over what videos show up when you search because we pull the results directly from YouTube and we aren't manipulating the search results. You can however change the search priority and show the videos in different orders depending on search parameters.
If you are finding non relevant videos I'd recommend limiting your search results to 20 or so per search then finding other keywords that are close and relevant. From there you just create a placement list based off of the multiple keywords.
As you go further and further down the search results on YouTube the videos become less and less relevant so limiting the searches will eliminate the need for you to edit out non relevant videos.
Hope that helps you understand how the software works!
