Q: Hello, this seems like an interesting product.
However, I am not residing in the US can I use platforms like eToro, etc to buy US stocks?

May 14, 2024A: Hello, it looks like eToro is only for cryptocurrency which is a different asset class than equities (stocks). TYKR focuses on equities.
A lot of my customers outside the US use https://freetrade.io or https://www.firstrade.com. Both are commission FREE. That is the key, you should not pay to buy or sell stocks!
What you say is worryingly far from the Truth. Etoro ya first and foremost one of the biggest stocks trader platforms in the world. Yes, they recently added a crypto option but this is relatevly new and still underdeveloped option.
Frankly I'm now a little bit more sceptical if your product is really worth it if you don't know one of the biggest player in the field you are
Hey Russell,
Thanks for reaching out.
I have to be honest, I'm not a customer of eToro and neither are most of our customers.
On the other hand, I'm sure it's a wonderful platform.
Here at Tykr, we encourage our customers to use any broker platform they desire. I personally use (and love) TD Ameritrade (thinkorswim is an awesome app) but a lot of our customers like platforms such as Etrade, Robinhood, Interactive Brokers, Charles Schwab, Fidelity, Firstrade, Freetrade, and more. Whatever broker they want to use to buy and sell stocks is on them.
I do see their help center states "eToro does not offer stock trading in the USA."

When they do offer this to US customers, I'll certainly check it out!
