My research shortcut
I'm a lapsed investor, and, happily, Tykr has brought me back.
Years ago I tried my hand at investing. I took a simple approach based on a book I read about Warren Buffett and his mentor, Ben Graham - two important individuals in the Value Investing philosophy, on which Tykr is based.
But then I went and made things more complicated by taking my stock profits and trying my hand at commodities trading... and lost everything. So I stopped investing altogether.
Tykr has given me a shortcut to getting back into the groove, and I've started to re-build my portfolio. It's given me a huge jump on finding companies that match my criteria for consideration by doing all the calculations and sorting of data for me. This is a HUGE time saver - and, frankly, the tool is far more thorough than I ever was when doing these things manually.
I'm also really impressed with Sean & his team. I looked back at some videos from earlier iterations of the platform, and see how far they've come in just over a year. And, based on the ideas shared and discussed in the FB group, it seems to be a tool that's very much guided by user feedback.
I'm really excited to see where Tykr goes over the next few year, and how it can help me be a more consistent and disciplined investor.

May 9, 2024David, thanks for sharing your journey on commodities trading and glad to hear you turned your attention back to value investing. Also, thank you for the feedback on the Youtube channel. I'm doing my best to make the channel better including content, camera, lighting, graphics. All the fun details you don't think about when starting a Youtube channel... LOL. :) I'm really excited to see the new Tykr version go live in the spring of 2022.
