This solution is essentially Scrivener for Google Docs. I'm sure it will be good.

It's made much more complex than it needs to be by the poor documentation and videos. I wonder if it's due to technical people who are too close to the product - it happens.

It just needs someone to record some videos/webinars of the use cases.

Please just start with how to create a blog post in this thing and get my client to review, revise and approve it!

Typed is a great app for collecting and organizing my notes. I love being able to highlight PDFs and web pages, and especially link other documents, URLs, and so on to a document. This helps me collect everything together that I can reference for my writing projects.

The only other thing I'd love them to add is the ability to link my own documents with wikilinks, like [[my other doc]]. I have a workaround for this, but wikilinks would make it so much easier.

I don't do a lot of reviews and I should. I hate to give a low rating. Willing to change if fixed. However, I felt it was my duty to help someone else so that you don't make the same mistakes I did.

At first I loved the product. I created many many documents. The program was very helpful. It did exactly what it said it did. I would bring screenshots and pieces of information into the window and create a document. I did this for a week. It allowed me to clean up my files. I also did not have to worry about it going against my google storage.
This week when I signed in, I could not access any of my documents. I logged in/out multiple times. I contacted support, sent them a screenshot. They told me to do the same thing-log out/in.

The reason I rushed to write this review is because I wanted to help anyone using the product be aware that the use of this product the way it is advertised may not be good if you are using it for important items that you may need short notice, unlimited access to.

I don't know exactly how this product works in the background but just think, if these documents are in someone else's google drive and they no longer have access to their drive, you MAY not have access either.

For the past 2 days I have not been able to access the product from within Typed.

However, I could see them shared with me from within my Google drive. Is that good enough? NO. I would love to use it as advertised. However, I am not willing to take the chance of creating a document that I really need and have this happen again. Can they fix it? Maybe.

Is this a great product? Yes, when it works as advertised. Did it stop my work progress? Yes. Is that good enough? Not sure yet...

In the meantime, if I decide to keep it, I will begin any documents I create from within my own Google drive and access it from there. That will allow me to utilize the features of Typed which are awesome when they work. I am still on the fence with this one.

Could I have waited to do a review? Yes. But utilizing documents is important. Why wait to help someone before they create many many documents as I did. What happened made me very uncomfortable. I am still waiting on a fix. Crossing my fingers.

MAKE A COPY!

I started using typed way back when it launched (not yet on Appsumo), it is good seeing it grow to a better tool day by day!

It is my go to tool for my brain dump at personal level, very much looking forward to have it used for my company when a few of the improvement that I looking for is done!

I would recommend everyone to take advantage of this deal. :). I have notion, nimbus notes, taskade, looking forward for typed to replace all these tools for my personal and work organisation.

Please take note that if you are not using gmail, you can still sign up google essential for free with your domain to have typed work on this.

Good, would have been better if multiple workspaces and email addresses were included for a single user
