Q: Can we set the max number of characters per line prior exporting subtitles (srt, vtt) ?

Is there a specific options setting for subtitles transcription so as to optimize the result before exporting? For instance:
- Max number of text characters per line
- Identification (tag/label) of speakers
- Identification (tag/label) of voice-over for video transcription
- Add SDH descriptions (in-brakets).

Otherwise how can we create subtitles that are accurate and readable with UniScribe? Without specific options, post-editing will take so much time.

A: Thanks for the great question! At the moment, UniScribe doesn’t support subtitle options like setting max characters per line, speaker tags, voice-over labels, or SDH descriptions.

Some basics like speaker labels and line length are on our roadmap, but to be honest, full subtitle editing isn’t our main focus long-term. Our focus is more on fast transcription, summaries, and content understanding, not full subtitle production.

If subtitle formatting is a big part of your workflow, just wanted to give you a heads-up before buying. Appreciate your feedback, it really helps us improve!
