I canceled my Tier 4 order faster than I ordered it

I canceled my Tier 4 order faster than I ordered it.

Why?

It says 2,000,000 credits included – in reality, it's only 1,950,000. That's a huge difference, especially since each transaction consumes a significant number of credits. My support ticket hasn't been processed to this day, confirming other users' experiences that support is sorely lacking. This doesn't bode well for the future viability of a young company.

Then it says voice clones are included. They are. Four of them. In a test account, I could select the option to clone my existing voice for dubbing. Here, I can't do that and have to make do with one of the available voices, and I can't use my own custom voice clones – even though the dubbing is supposed to be for the same speaker. The quality of the default voices is terrible, nowhere near as good as Elevenlabs and similar services. More like Revoicer. The voice clones themselves aren't outstanding yet, but they're perfectly usable; I expect further development will bring out the best in them.

If the voice clones were unlimited and usable for dubbing, I'd sign up again in a heartbeat. As it is, definitely not.

And of course, you need an additional subscription if you want to use all the gallery characters and voices. I knew there was a catch. I could live with that, though. But exporting MP3, video, SRT subtitles, and so on also costs extra. What's the point of an account that can't export anything except formats no one uses? Especially when I'm already buying the highest available plan?

The number of custom characters is also limited to a ridiculous four. The problem is, you can't delete them. I randomly selected four standard characters for testing purposes, and now I can't free up those slots. I assume these are a fixed four slots, not a monthly limit.

... With a lifetime deal, it's generally expected that you might want to work with a product long-term. Four voice clones and four default characters that can't be deleted seem very limiting to me. Saving and re-uploading later isn't possible either, so long-term planning isn't feasible.

What bothers me in general, though, is the credit system. You never really know what you're buying. 2,000,000 credits sounds like a lot at first; currently, they're enough for 16 hours of audio dubbing.

But HeyGen has consistently demonstrated how little credits are worth: a tripling of usage in May, an increase of almost 1.5 times in July – even with existing subscriptions. With Unmix, this would mean that, following HeyGen's inflationary approach, the 16 hours of dubbing would only last for 3.5 hours, whereas buying 16 hours of dubbing would still be worth 16 hours in 5 years. This is something you should always be aware of.

Therefore, my personal conclusion: stay away. If you encounter so many problems right from the start of a business, you can't expect things to improve.
