I make and edit a lot of my own PDFs and use a lot of other people’s PDFs.

UPDF automatically OCR’d all my PDFs upon opening them without me having to go find an OCR “tool” button and select settings and then let it run like with Acrobat. You can then highlight text, right click and select “start speaking” and it speaks pretty well for a computer.

UPDF has a dark mode background that I like.

My MacBook Pro runs a lot faster with uPDF than with adobe. I’m saving a ton of money with UPDD and so far, UPDF is far better.

When you go into edit a pdf, all the elements you’d want to be able to edit are highlighted which was always a major pain point for me in adobe where not every element was editable.

Extracting single or multiple pages is fast and easy with a view of many pages at once by selecting the “Organize Pages” function.

I use this product a lot and it’s one of the best appsumo deals I’ve gotten. I wish all deals were this great.

uPDF delivers on it’s promise—it’s easy and intuitive to use, doesn’t overheat my MacBook, allows me to edit and search my PDFs.

The only thing I’ve yet to figure out is opening PDFs in my browser—I still have an adobe plug in for that until my subscription expires this month, and I’m thinking I’ll have to disable that and just just the chrome or safari built-in options for pdf viewing online but that’s fine for my purposes. It would be a plus if they have or add a browser extension.
