Q: I've been testing the trial of your product as this matches closely to what we need in our agency, so far it ...
looks good but I have a few reserves.
Keep in mind I only ask those because I'm really interested on this product.
- The UI and navigation is dated and confusing (I can get around it, but takes effort).
- The whole system feels slowish (usable but slow), also the features provided can easily create a huge amount of stress on the servers and this makes me afraid of scalability issues.
- It seems like a possibility to go in the direction of too many features (even if right now it isn't there, I have this "feeling").
- Concerns regarding GDPR, I see you have a DPA agreement which is a bonus, but for EU users, the data being on the US can be a limiting factor.
Those lead to some questions:
#1. Do you plan to improve/redo the UI and UX in the short term?
#2. Have you tested for scalability on your servers? How's the performance being taken into account?
#3 Do you have a roadmap you can share? At AppSumo we usualyl love those :)
#4 How are you tracking data? (I'm more concerned about the recipients data then my own data, but still, important for both).
Thank you very much :)

May 15, 2024A: Thanks for the clarification GDPR/Tracking. This is a feedback for us. We track all emails as of now. Probably we should have a feature where a brand can decide to track or not track.
Thank you for the detailed feedback. Here is the response to your questions.
#1. Do you plan to improve/redo the UI and UX in the short term? - Yes, we plan to improve the UI and UX in the short term.
#2. Have you tested for scalability on your servers? How's the performance being taken into account? - We have gone through this with our early customers and since then we have reworked our architecture to make the system scalable enough to handle a lot of data. Please be rest assured with respect to scalibility.
#3 Do you have a roadmap you can share? At AppSumo we usualyl love those :) - I know :) but we don't have as of now. If there is a feature feedback, please do let us know and we will put in our internal roadmap. We are quick with turn around time.
#4 How are you tracking data? (I'm more concerned about the recipients data then my own data, but still, important for both). - Please be a little more elaborate in terms of what kind of data tracking are you talking about and I will be happy to address. Thanks.
Thank you for the reply, great info.
- On the clarification of GDPR/Tracking:
Under GDPR laws, unless you specifically have an agreement with the recipient to track them you’re breaking GDPR. This applies to open and click tracking.
So it would be useful to have an option to optout of tracking.
Usually this is less on an issue with newsletters as the user can optin when they subscribe, here, with cold-email, it's harder.
There are a lot of considerations regarding this, but a simple switch to turn of tracking would be great (and realy disable tracking, not just hide it from the interface).
Thank you
And to answer your question on GDPR compliance. Yes, we plan to go for SOC2 Type 2 and GDPR.
