Q: Digital product hosting and delivery
Hi there. If I were to use this to sell digital items that need to be delivered to the customer after the sale, such as guides and ebooks, does this plugin allow you to upload the file and it will deliver it to the customer after purchase? If not, how can this be done with the plugin? And how does it work if selling a course? I'm trying to invision how it works and looks compared to how products are displayed on a wordpress/woocommerce shop page. Thanks in advance for your help.

Oct 12, 2024A: There are a couple ways you can approach delivery of your digital files.
1. When creating a product inside the Upsell Plugin, if you set the product as a "digital" product... A new tab appears which let's you add a file(s) attached to that product. Links for these products are shown in the "order summary" box which you can place on your thank you pages using [upsell_orders].
2. With the same method above, you can also create an email under Upsell > Emails which shows the order summary and includes links to the files.
3. You can integrate with your email marketing system and since you can tag/add your customer to a specific list based on the products they buy... You can use your email marketing system to create automations to deliver the files.
When it comes to courses, we have direct integration with most of the major LMS/course/membership plugins. MemberPress, LifterLMS, LearnDash, Wishlist Member, WP Fusion and Tutor LMS.
