I purchased Subscription from them and these guys do not reply. And seriously Appsumo should accountable to this. Why Appsumo allows such frauds to sell and loot us on this platform. This way I'm loosing my faith from Appsumo too
It's not a bad product. Of course, it's not 100% there yet, but the main reason I'm giving it 2 tacos is customer support.
I reached out to them over a week ago, multiple times, multiple channels, and still no answer. It feels like a rug pull and will most likely ask for a refund.
If the team decides to continue with the app, I think it's a great app and easier to use than other low-code solutions out there.
Yes, there are a few clunky things like the way the product is shown and no way to edit the way it's displayed like move the title under the thumbnail, no way to move the CTA buttons around, a very limited menu etc.
It's only blocks of predefined content that you can move around. Very limited way to edit the block
Also, the deal here doesn't include Shopify. Meaning that if you want to create an app for a Shopify store, it will count towards the app limit but you have to pay for the app separately.
But as a proof of concept app, it's fantastic. It's good enough to offer a mobile app to your clients which was my plan all along.
But I need reliable support and the confidence that they don't pull the rug.
I initially got excited about this deal to create shop and blog apps.
1. SHOP APP - I went to create a shop app, and there were two options (shopify and woocommerce). I created a Shopify app the installation went smooth but later found out that Shopify was not included in the deal. So I tried to remove it from my shop but not possible, getting a severe 500 server error. Now I wait for support to help remove it.
2. BLOG APP - Then I went to create a WP blog app - connected the plugin, got my colours setting, but the app is displaying the vc css code along with each blog it is pulling, so not good at all. Then I went back to edit the app to find out that all my settings were gone and the setup wizard was there to help me start from scratch.
So, yes, I just wasted my time on these and more time will be needed to get rid of the app from my store. I would not recommend this app platform unfortunately at least at this stage.
I have spent a lot of time trying to contact their customer service so many times. I barely receive any very short and confusing replies. So one tacos less for customer service. I contacted and requested them a few number of times to launch the app about 40 hours before but no reply. NOT EVEN CONFIRMING THAT THEY RECEIVED THE REQUEST.
App builder is very easy and quick. It is lacking lot of necessary features for e-commerce app but that is what you can expect for this cheap price, right? So no issues.
Only issue is, the app builder fully restricted to limited options and you can't even change the text or title of anything. Eg. Product page has "Add to bag" text on button. If you want to change to "add to cart" text, you can't. Users can't add products reviews from app. Profile page don't have contact us option within the app. And so on..
Worse thing is, you have no control or extract apk file from builder and they are not replying when you are ready to launch the app which is not good enough while on app sumo, they claims that friendly team will help you launching the app. I might claim for refund as I am getting disappointment.
I bought all the "app makers" that appeared here on AppSumo. Refunded them all, mostly because they would not work for the brazilian market. They would not calculate the shipping costs, not integrate payments that would need the "CPF" (something like the brazilian security number) ... or just had a bad translation or no translation at all to brazilian portuguese, and when asked, I would get back an answer about how much more I had to pay to have it translated. Here I am very suprised to see that the checkout with PayPal and shipping (Correios, SEDEX, PAC) are working even in the test mode. It does not support payment plugins like PagSeguro or Mercado Pago, but supports PayPal (in the test mode, not "transparent", it sends the user to the PayPal app/site). It is not so nice that in the Wire option, the bank data will not appear to the customer on the screen. It will be sent per email. The brazilian market has something named PIX, and to have it coming right after the buying would make it easier for them. They have something I really like: the possibility to add your translation for the buttons on the app. I did it. Unfortunatelly it changed nothing on the test app. But they already said it will change on the "live" app. =) The option to add a banner for products from some category or that are in sale is very good. Loved it! :heavy_minus_sign: I am testing a WooCommerce site that has also a blog. Unfortunatelly I can only add the blog as a link to a webpage, and then it shows all the menu and cart from the site. And here gets a bit confusing for the client: the cart is not the same as in the app. If you added something, it will show empty. The menu is also not the same and the "app menu" at the bottom then disappears. Here, I understand the "cookie" problem, but maybe would be nice to have a "two in one" app, blog + woocommerce? I would not mind if it would count as two apps, even being one APK. :heavy_minus_sign: Some scripts like the newsletter pop up or "call us on whatsapp" do not work. VERY Happy to see it in the roadmap. And I just saw that the notifications to users is something very easy, made from their site. If you need other users to do it, can be a problem, but I am the only one using the system, so, for me, really nice option! I've been searching a solution for a very long time, since I bought one app here that NEVER worked and even changed the plans that AppSumo users would not profit from the new roadmap... But I tell you: buy this! The support is amazing, and they will even PUBLISH your app for you!! Just for this alone, I would give 10 tacos.
