Q: Am I missing something?

This seems like one-way communication.

How would a user be able to see their old comments to double-check that changes were made exactly as they stated?

I set up a test email, and I didn't get alerted about status changes. I don't see a strong collaboration component between user and developer, especially since when I share the file, the user has to leave a name and email for every comment.

Also, can we change email templates? The subject headline as bad grammar.

Hey there!

I think we could call Userback a 1.75way communication...

Every feedback gets its own unique URL so Users / feedback reporters can always go back to this. There is also an option to allow users to view all other feedback on a page / project. This is ideally used when working with a client on that clients project. They can load the widget, view all of the feedback, add additional comments and collaborate further with the designer/developer per feedback.

The workflow for that is:
1. You setup the widget with the option to 'allow updates' enabled
2. The client goes to a site, provides feedback. They check the box before they submit the feedback to 'Receive updates'
3. The designer gets the feedback and they make it public (you can set all feedback to be public by default).
4. The designer updates the feedback either by category / status or additional comments to the feedback
5. The client receives a notification telling them the feedback has been updated with a link to view the feedback and the update
6. Client clicks link, they see the comments / updates.
7. Client can communicate through the feedback viewer, by replying to comments in the feedback.
8. rinse, repeat.

Happy to demo this to you if you send me an email - contact@userback.io

Regarding the notification emails, these can not be changes / edited however, if you let me know which ones, I'll most definitely update the grammar.

I really hope this helps answer your question and concern around 1 way vs 2 way comms with clients and their feedback. Please let me know if I have misunderstood anything

Hi, thanks, that workflow works amazing. Just one idea from me: it would be great to save templates for widgets (especially useful for those of us using other language than english) to prevent manual configuration of every single widget with the same texts and options over and over.
