Q: Hello, We use HelpScout for customer support.

Will this create any conflict with HelpScout ? Specifically, it's Beacon feature, which has a similar js 'click to open' icon in the lower right of the browser to search/open support docs.

I'd love to use them side by side esp with the UG button feature inside a HelpScout doc. We have been looking for a walkthrough solution for paid customers so would love to pick up a few codes of this. I didn't see HelpScout referred to in the questions so far, just SupportHero, so wanted to check.

I also watched the video on using in the WP admin area, really great exactly what I need, can I do that in WP multisite?

- WP Multisite compatible in user admin area?
- No conflict with HelpScout or its Beacon?

As we had a lot of questions on this topic, following features are on top of our roadmap:

Current status of these features:

1 - You can trigger your guides using the URL format below. We are still testing this feature, it seems working right now. We will release in a few weeks when it’s stable.

2 - We are building a developer documentation right now, search API will also be included in that. ETA ~2 weeks

Sorry, I’ve missed the multisite part of your question. It’s not fully supported by us yet, ETA ~3 days.

It can be used in a multisite setup if sites have the same layout. I am sharing an article below, it’s not the exact case but it gives you an idea of how to configure the flow.

In such a case, you will have an exact same script on multiple sites. So, if you update one guide that’s related to a script (called domain in our panel), all sites (which are loading updated script) will have the new version of the guide. In case you want to have a site-specific guide, you can use our default segmentations. (e.g. visited page contains example.com) You can also use custom attributes to create segments. (e.g. site_url equals example.com) Please see articles below:

We're on HelpScout and moving our knowledge base into Support Hero. We've not seen any conflicts there and the Support Hero tab is similar to the HelpScout beacon in terms of how it's launched.

Now if AppSumo would just come out with a ticketing platform that we could use..... :-)
